When I was young there were a number of carved stone heads around the village, which very likely came from the ruins of the church. I remember there were at least two in the garden of adjacent Chantry House, and another (since removed) built into a nearby wall, so I suspect that the church once had numerous carvings.
Nice to see the clip of Colin Ashworth at the end. He was a lovely chap. 😊
