  • After a long while I came back with a short story about my vacation at Italy this June. I played arround with my Elecraft KX2 and my new mini version of the uSDR (chinese edition). It was a lot of fun but there was not so much time for QRP. My family was with me.
First part is close to the "Tre Cime di Lavaredo" at about 2400m height. I used a random wire antenna tuned with the internal tuner of the KX2. I received a lot of signals very loud. But nobody hear me. I think the antenna was much to close to the ground and so I have nearby no effective radiation. Some days later I tryied my uSDR with the 20m telescope antenna and I catched one QSO. It was a lot of fun and a really beautiful sourrounding.
I hope I can show you the feeling of QRP and outdoor with that small video.

Cool landscape! I hope next year will go on holidays to Dolomitas.
Random wire is not the best choice and without pole...hihi.

It is really fantastic there. Fresh air, kilometers of view, green...... and.... of course QRP 😂👍

The setup is easy: micro SDR, LiFePo 3Ah battery, telescope antenna for 20m and 10m wire as counterpoise to the telescope. Thats it. I used the internal microphone of the transceiver. I am sure it sounds really ugly. But it worked.

@@echopapaqrp8166 awesome. If it not kinda ugly in this hobby, you have to be quite wealthy lol. I love playing “will it radiate?” here in Texas. The answer most of the time is yes. Keep up the awesome work.
