- Hi everyone, today I'm sharing with you a relaxing day retreating at home, sketching some items in my kitchen, and my kitty Dudu.
đš Materials I used:
- Sailor's fude fountain pen
- Noodler's Brown 41 Ink (to fill the fountain pen)
- Mungyo watercolors
- Etchr Mix-Media A4 size Landscape Sketchbook
- Holbein Water Brush (large tip)
- Holbein water brush (medium tip)

I'm sure the raccoons hurt Dudu. I had the same trouble in then north cascades and my vet said it's common for raccoons to attack cats. If an owl or predator bird got ahold of Dudu he would be dead and his fur laying all over the ground. I had an owl kill my other cat and that's how it went down. They never lose their prey, but the raccoons were probably defending their babies in the cherry tree! You have the sweetest, little cat with the best name I'v ever heard of for a cat! Once again you draw the best, unique objects. I love watching you draw so effortlessly. You are so talented.
So sorry an owl got your cat! Owls have attacked some people in Puget Sound area. Pretty scary.

...also predator birds like Owls and Eagles have been known to pick up cats in their talons and when the cat twists and claws the bird, it will drop it causing all sorts of damage. I guess we will never know. đą but he is getting better and that is what counts. đ

Just found your channel, beautiful sketches. Iâm trying to up my sketching practice and this is inspiring. What pen/ ink do you use? I have tried many, not all are waterproof but some waterproof inks clog up my pens. Also from đšđŠâźïž.
Thank you. I use Noodler's brown #41 ink in a Sailor's Fude fountain pen.
What do you clean your brush on between colors? Paper towel? Or maybe a small rag? Just curious. Ty from Ohio, USA. đ€đđ
I clean the brush on a wet cloth towel. :)
Hello, I looked up Noodler's ink you list in your supplies for this video and they say "Noodlers ink designed for use in fountain pens for writing and not for watercolour washes. The top layer of the ink will be removed if you try to smudge it with a wet finger or a wet brush." What's your experience as I have Sailor's fountain pen and would love to draw with it too. Many thanks for such a fun demonstration of joy from the ordinary. đ
Most Noodler's inks are not waterproof. The one I'm using is Brown #41 and the ink stays clean when I paint on top.
What brand is the phone clamp you are using? It doesn't seem to shake much.

When I paint over the ink of the initial sketch, it gets smudged and spoils the colour overlay. How to prevent that?
You need to use waterproof ink to do your drawing. :)
What kind of cat is that??? My cat looks exactly like yours but I don't know what kind of cat he is. He has the same face markings and fluffy hair and everything.
I think our cats may be mix of Maine Coon or Norwegian Forest cat, and domestic longhair.
