In my opinion probably the best series ever. I didn't hate the last season as much as many did. To me this series is as much about the journey as the destination.
the mad queen plot would've been good if there was SOME buildup. You can't just make a protagonist and convert her into the worst antagonist in the series in 2-3 episodes. It's beyond stupid.

For someone who knows the series, yeah, but try to think about someone who hasn't seen anything of it. They see joffrey as king but in that short frame they probably can't remember the face, you see the marriage of rheagar but no faces so no Spoiler. Viserys face isn't shown in the clip, for someone knew the just see a man getting boiling gold over his head. Jon's resurrection is in s6, you have to watch over 50h to get there, when you do you have forgotten the entire trailer. The dead men's and the dragons are the only true spoilers, everything else happens too fast for someone new. Never ever can they remember any faces
But if you look using your brain, This is all the action scenes from the entire show. Which is 1% from the entire series. You just watched all them here and now you are gonna watch just people talking which is 99% from the entire series. Just Imagine how boring is that. Also action scenes were just basic people fighting each other, nothing special. there were 0 wow,unexpected,thrilling,mindblowing scenes in this show. Also dragon CGI scenes were horrible.

@@vijiraju6238 Justice League had a bunch of leftover deleted scenes from when they changed directors. GoT didn’t have that. Plus the only “fix” for S8 would be to add about 4 more episodes to elaborate and streamline everything. That would be ridiculously expensive to shoot and there’s no guarantee on getting their money back. In their eyes they’re better off moving onto spin-offs and trying to make people forget GoT S8 ever happened
well in all fairness, it did just that. GOT fans really thought this was supposed to have a happy ending...and thats why they are all so upset. Because GOT is not based upon happy endings, or even happy beginnings or happy anything.

There was a time I would have watched this, and would have felt goosebumps everywhere, and felt that what I was watching had real weight to it, and that the people I saw on the screen were characters I truly cared for or truly despised. Now, after the series has ended, I'm left feeling bereft of emotion.... I'm not even mad anymore, I had to bury the feelings I had for this show in the ashes.
I wasn't angry then and I ain't angry now. I like the show, including most of the final season because it was a good ending. People were so in love with the characters they were unable to accept the decisions the cgaracters made. That's on the viewers, not the show, since imo the show did the legwork necessary for those outcomes to happen. How and where those characters ended up made sense to me for the most part.
After the Snyder cut us fans must demand Season 8 George R.R Martin version. I’m pretty sure that version won’t have “Dany forgot about the iron fleet”
It would be hard to give Season 8 a satisfactory conclusion seeing how a lot of the (shoddy) groundwork Season 8 began with started in Season 7. The best way I can see them redoing 8 is if they added/cut some scene from 7.

Game of Thrones is absolutely incredible, a true masterpiece. The production, filming, music, everything was absolutely top notch. No other show has come close to it, an unforgettable journey, good memories.
Can you imagine if the end had been satisfying? Not a single TV show would've come even close to it. If it had had like 15 seasons of crazy twists and turns like the first few seasons, it would have been amazing.
True Bran's story isn't that spectacular but he's more fit to run the kingdoms than anyone. This guy can look back in time to all the kings before him in assess all the successes and failures and know not to make the same mistakes they did. He can go back in time and look at war tactics, politics, certain assassination plots. He's his own historical library. Nothing could really get past him.

GOT changed me as a person and was an important thing in my life, still is. It made me go through harsh times and I absolutely love EVERYTHING about it. Forever. I loved the last season too, it had some flaws and was too short, but it was still an amazing experience. I still love these books and the show.. start to finish!! I thought they had some of the best scenes in movie & tv history!! They did the best they could and it never would have made everyone happy. The two dragons fighting with moon & sky behind them took my breath away!! Absolutely beautiful work!! People can be so mean and not appreciate the time and effort put into this. Thank you for hours and hours of escape from this sometimes stressful life!! Loved it! Can’t wait for anything.. everything GOT related in the future! I know it's a super longshot, if not outright impossible, but Season 8 needs to be remade. It was the greatest letdown in the history of television, and it simply cannot be left to taint the legacy of an otherwise extraordinary series. It's been years and I'm still not at peace with it. If they can't get it remade with the original cast, then sell the rights and remake the whole damn series so it can end it the right way. Preferably an animated series that can go all-out with depicting Martin's world in a way the live-action series was never able to.

Yep it started going downhill in S6, just after GRRM's material ran out. Maybe there's going to be a remake of the last 2-3 seasons when GRRM finishes the books, even with different actors, wishful thinking i guess.

Plus the only “fix” for S8 would be to add about 4 more episodes to elaborate and streamline everything. That would be ridiculously expensive to shoot and there’s no guarantee on getting their money back. In their eyes they’re better off moving onto spin-offs and trying to make people forget GoT S8 ever happened

Yup! The first 4 seasons held so much promise for what is to come, and then seasons 7 & 8 destroyed it all.
well in all fairness, it did just that. GOT fans really thought this was supposed to have a happy ending...and thats why they are all so upset. Because GOT is not based upon happy endings, or even happy beginnings or happy anything.

It's so hard to enjoy this show now.
There was a time I would have watched this, and would have felt goosebumps everywhere, and felt that what I was watching had real weight to it, and that the people I saw on the screen were characters I truly cared for or truly despised. Now, after the series has ended, I'm left feeling bereft of emotion.... I'm not even mad anymore, I had to bury the feelings I had for this show in the ashes.
I wasn't angry then and I ain't angry now. I like the show, including most of the final season because it was a good ending. People were so in love with the characters they were unable to accept the decisions the cgaracters made. That's on the viewers, not the show, since imo the show did the legwork necessary for those outcomes to happen. How and where those characters ended up made sense to me for the most part.

The worst ending to the greatest show of all time
Game of Thrones is absolutely incredible, a true masterpiece. The production, filming, music, everything was absolutely top notch. No other show has come close to it, an unforgettable journey, good memories.
Can you imagine if the end had been satisfying? Not a single TV show would've come even close to it. If it had had like 15 seasons of crazy twists and turns like the first few seasons, it would have been amazing.
15 seasons would be too much. I think 9 would have been perfect. Especially if they kept the same 10 episode regiment through 7 and 8

True Bran's story isn't that spectacular but he's more fit to run the kingdoms than anyone. This guy can look back in time to all the kings before him in assess all the successes and failures and know not to make the same mistakes they did. He can go back in time and look at war tactics, politics, certain assassination plots. He's his own historical library. Nothing could really get past him.

The two dragons fighting with moon & sky behind them took my breath away!! Absolutely beautiful work!! People can be so mean and not appreciate the time and effort put into this. Thank you for hours and hours of escape from this sometimes stressful life!! Loved it! Can’t wait for anything.. everything GOT related in the future! I know it's a super longshot, if not outright impossible, but Season 8 needs to be remade. It was the greatest letdown in the history of television, and it simply cannot be left to taint the legacy of an otherwise extraordinary series. It's been years and I'm still not at peace with it.
If they can't get it remade with the original cast, then sell the rights and remake the whole damn series so it can end it the right way. Preferably an animated series that can go all-out with depicting Martin's world in a way the live-action series was never able to.

In fact, it wasn't about the living and the dead: it was about "power corrupts" or rather it was supposed to be as they completely failed to tell this story.
Its terribly sad and heartbreaking to see this show turn from what could have possibly been the definition of pop culture of the past decade to not even being part of any discussion (except for rage and agony for last 2 seasons) now. 💔
I love the characters of game of thrones, i enjoyed watching their paths, how they've grown up and become stronger and mature
