Quick tip to add: if you do a pretty big weight cut (10lbs day of or week of weigh ins) take some digestive enzymes before your first meal after weigh ins. Your body natural enzymes die out after not having food or water for a long time so taking the supplement will allow your body to process the foods better, put on good weight, and take in the nutrients from the food better as well

@@ethen1220 kickboxing also has clinches. You can punch and kick(below waist). And the champ went to Thailand once specifically to work clinch.
@@lupus4687 You just explained why Gabriel Varga's knowledge of clinching is very limited. How much can you learn from someone who "went to Thailand once to work the clinch"? You'd be better off watching a Chael Sonnen tutorial; he has lots of great greco-roman wrasslin' videos.
Kickboxing clinching isn't that complicated; clinching & kneeing in the clinch is disallowed, only "straight knees" are permitted, so you learn modified boxing clinch mechanics & how to release the clinch & throw a knee at the same time, which is why kickboxers get handled so often in Thailand.

The answer: Fructose gets digested in the liver and glucose is available right now. So by eating fruit just before the fight you ensure that you'll put more strain on your liver.

Today something happened to me: I trained two and a half hours after lunch, and it all went alright when I was doing weights and body conditioning: but then I went out for a run and it felt terrible, I felt like throwing up!

I always like to be just a little bit hungry right before the fight. Also who is the person who hated on bananas and said u shouldn't have when training. Bananas are the one thing that never hurts my stomach if I eat it close to practice time, so I'm glad u called that out Gabe!

I’ve cut weight once lol after weigh in I ate a baguette with chicken, butter and paprika. Drank a half liter eis tee with sugar and about two liters of water. I felt like Superman. Lmao

I have my 3rd kickboxing fight today!
I weigh in the same day i fight with roughly 3 hrs until show starts and then its just waiting until its my turn. What can i eat to not come in too heavy before the weigh in? And what should i eat afterwards knowing I've got a time window (roughly 3hrs) until show starts to feel energy-efficient and not bloated/ tired?
Howzit Gabriel i just wanto know ive been dieting my whole fighting career like this i dont eat after 5pm at night in camp time but i do train until 7pm somedays until 8pm then i ussualy go sleep hungry is it bad or should i eat before bedtime my next fight now 2nd of march so im busy diet still need to cut 11pounds

I think an EPO would be ur best bet lmao, it sounds like you could be overtraining your body. Im no pro tho.

carbs and sugar will give you energy i take a vitamin water with me to practice and will drink it about half way through just to give myself energy. can also try cliffbars or gatorade

I would eat a full breakfast 8-9 and then have small snacks if I'm hungry at any times. I would stop eating about 30 minutes before the warmup.
