So I have a dead battery on my X5 35D completely dead and when I try to trickle charge it the alarm starts going off and still have no power what do I do.
A rat chewed mine. The wire to cylinder 1 glow plug. Did a splice job and changed the glow plugs and glow plug module. Since those got fried after the rat chewed the wire. The damn rat tried to get into my new car as well but found the battery cable luckily and not something difficult....rats dead now and I don't live on that street anymore.
Any idea how to open the trunk if your roommate shut it during battery replacement. No fold down seats no battery in so the power distributor deal is off. I'm about ready to sawzall the trunk haha help bro
Most have the pass thru for skis etc in the centre of the rear seat. Use a hook and grab the handle to open the trunk from the inside (glows in the dark even).
how long of a job is it to replace the whole thing? same thing happen to my 35D but didn't fry my ECU.

Were you able to turn the engine manually or was it locked?....

Could you turn your engine manually before fixing or was it like stuck?....
So is that able to be considered fire damage and would insurance cover some of the repair?
I'm not sure, hadn't crossed my mind and honestly, there was never a fire.
