Keane’s got a point. Kane did almost the same thing at Spurs last year but eventually came around and towards the end of the season was at his best and helped the team make top 4. Now he’s got his head down and heading into the new season without disruption

He was by far the best player last season and its clear the club are preventing him from moving on. At his age, I think its right to be a bit selfish and do whats best for before his career is done.

This 37 years old man literally scored 18 premier league goals playing with this disconnected Man Utd team. Looking at the supply he get and players around him, I'm genuinely impress that he did it so well.

Yes, he still scores goals and is ManUtds best striker but like you said the team looks disconnected. I believe that there are problems within the squad... it's a bit similar to what I saw at Barca under Koeman. Now under Xavi the players seem to have much for fun on the pitch and that shows in the results.
So the most important thing for Ten Hag is to create a good atmosphere in the dressing room... let the players believe in themselfs and especially in the team.

Have you looked at chances created stats? You’ll find them to be lot lesser last year. So it is actually more impressive that ronaldo manages to score 20+ goals where chances created are abysmal
The fact that Rooney asked to leave almost 15 years ago due to lack of ambition, and now Ronaldo is doing the same just says it all. Real winners don’t want to be at a club that doesn’t want to win.

Ronaldo is one of the best and most competitive players of all time, he didn't come to Man United to finish well outside the top 4, despite still doing more than his fair share scoring 20+ goals to single-handedly win matches, He didn't come to the club at 37 to see Oli sacked and a sports director appointed as manager. He didn't come to the club to then see a Dutch coach appointed with zero experience in a top tier league. He certainly didn't come to miss out on Champions League football for the first time since he was at Sporting in 02/03.
You don't complete a transfer for Ronaldo and not qualify for the Champions League. Totally the fault of a poorly run club with much lower standards than Ronaldo. Not only is he being forced to accept not playing Champions League for the first time in two decades, at 37, he's also being asked to risk missing out on in next year, with, let's be honest, 5 teams better placed at this stage to finish in the top 4, all with some of the best managers and squads in the world.. The guy has all-time records and accolades in his sights, he shouldn't have to faff around with yet another inexperienced manager, a poorly run club and players who don't understand what it takes to train properly and win.

I mean if you think about it, Ronaldo looks at the team he'll be playing with this year and realises there aren't many new faces and he'll essentially have the same people as last year around him. I think the reason he put the transfer offer so late was because he wanted to see how the transfer season panned out, which as it turns out, has been abysmal. That's the only justification I see for the late transfer request, other arguments simply don't make sense.

It hasnt exactly been abysmal. Yes we havent bought a 'World Class' player, but Ten Hag is trying to build for the future, and that starts with youth.
Malacia looks like a good young player, and Martinez is looking very solid at the back. Erikson is a good squad player to add depth, so its not all bad.
Realistically De Jong looked off the cards a long time ago, he was never interested in Utd, and the position Utd are in right now was never going to attract the worlds best players.
We have to accept that those glory days are gone, and our best way foward is to recruit young hungry players who want to build for the future.
I dont care what anyone says, Ronaldos best days are behind him. He needs to accept that big teams dont want him anymore, hes at the age now where he can be a mentor to the future players. Hes won everything, he can teach these young players how to be better, and if he stays he can do that.

It hurt during prime United and it hurts now. Roy was past his prime and his injuries were catching up to him. His body could no longer sustain the high standards he demanded of himself or others. I’m sure it would have killed Fergie to do it but Roy gave him the perfect opening with the interview and in the end it boiled down to who had control of the dressing room? Fergie or Keano who is a player when it comes down to it. Fergie knew from day one the value of being in charge of the ship. Moment the players are, anarchy breaks out like it has done since Fergie left United. I just wish we had got another hard man in the middle. Fletch weren’t a bad player but nor was he equipped with the skillset to match up to Keano who could pass through teams, tackle and shoot.

With Premier League competition so fierce, Ronaldo realizes even with Ten Hag rebuilding the team, there is a very good chance Man United will not make it to top 4 this season, with Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal doing a better job at recruiting players. So if he stays he is afraid he will never be playing Champions league again. As such, he wants to leave. He does not want Messi to catch up to him in the Champions League goal tally. It's not complicated.

Jamie carraghaer talking about Pep Guardiola shipping Ronaldinho out when he took over Barcelona and saying ETH should let Ronaldo go to emphasize his character.. this is just ridiculous. Barcelona had a young generation coming from the youth team with the likes of Xavi Iniesta Busquets and messi already one of the key players of the squad. Pep knew the squad well because he was already familiar with the squad as he was the B team's manager earlier. ETH has taken over a Manchester United squad with no depth in the first team and youth team. And letting Cristiano go as their primary goalscorer they'll be a worse squad than West ham. Absolutely no chance finishing in the to 6 let alone top 4 .

Utd. scored more goals the season before CR7 was there and ironically gave up fewer goals as well. CR7 has upset the entire balance of the team. Its like taking medication to lower your cholesterol only to find out that while your cholesterol level is lower, your kidneys are now failing. The side effects of CR7 are not worth what he cures. That is the unfortunate truth. That is why Juventus let him go.
Functioning teams today have drilled tactics. All 11 operate as a unit together. They have patterns of play and a style. Look at City and look at LFC. All 11 on the pitch are in sync. It looks like a practice session when they play.
Utd. have been stuck in the Nokia 3310 style of football; relying on individual moments of brilliance. If ETH has to change that, he needs players that fit his system, not the other way round. Utd. have been 3-4 years away from competing for the last 9 years. It wont change it CR7 stays.

One thing you misunderstood is that the season before ronaldo coming in was purely very different to a regular challenging season because of covid
Liverpool and Manc important players were injured for most of the season , it was almost like Manu played those season matches with Liverpool and Manc's B team . Thats why they performed better as you mentioned.
But to be honest last season, with out ronaldo we would be below 10 surely

@@anuragkumarjha5637 There was a pattern of play emerging from Utd. in the 20/21 season. Sit deep and play counter attacking football with the fast wingers you had. It helped your defense not get exposed because Maguire is slow and sitting deep didn't expose his weakness.Your fast wingers in Rashford and Greenwood like to cut in and shoot. Cavani and Bruno are there to link up and facilitate the wingers to get goals. You changed all of that by adding CR7. You made your wingers cross the ball which they weren't good to begin with. You started playing higher up the pitch with your forwards not tracking back and leaving defense high and dry. 20/21 seasons before CR7, the biggest problem Utd. had was work rate off the ball. They simply didn't do enough without the ball. By adding another defensive passenger and changing the entire shape of the team, it got worse exponentially. The side effects of CR7 are simply not worth what he brings. If they were, he would still be at Juventus.
I am not a Utd. supporter. All of us were for Ole at the wheel. We are all for CR7 staying at Utd. till he is 42.
@@JW-be8wf I think a really good manager is capable of having one superstar in the squad to create a system that's sustainable. When he was at Real Madrid, he didn't press. The 9 other outfield players did the dirty work for him. He won the champions league 3 times in a row. So, I think it's upto the manager. I think the reason this Ronaldo transfer saga is dragging on is because he is waiting for offers from other clubs and evaluating his options whether to stay or go. He wants to leave that's a fact but he wants to make sure that he leaves for the right club where he gets ample amount of game time and hopes of a shot at the champions league title or some other titles. If he doesn't get this he'd rather stay at United. That's why he is training and playing the pre season match. But his wage and age is the problem for many clubs.

If your a United Fan and Ronaldo says he want to leave why would you hate Ronaldo for that? He came into Man U (over Man City by the way) and he at 37 scored 20+ goals. And they were all crucial goals. He then realized that this team isn’t going to be able to compete at the highest levels and who knows how long he will be at this by level. As a fan you should be more mad at the ownership (and maybe even the management) cause clearly he sees something that we don’t. He has seen the list of players who left and the players who came in. He has seen the new manager and knows that this team is rebuilding (last year the team was at a place where I genuinely thought they were a few pieces away from realisticlly winning silverware).
