Yesterday, I was stumped by the lower water pressure in my new showerhead, but thanks to this helpful video, I’ve finally found a solution. Time to grab the toolbox from the garage and give it a try…even though it’s 1am and I was in bed 😅
@@JJZBULLITT109 I took and added another pipe for a shower head and made it about shoulder height and it doesn't have a head on it ,that solid ½ pipe pressure is great on the back muscles. And you can rinse quicker with it too. In my state you would need a whole family using water like me in order to even get close to the 10000 gallon area. Water pretty cheap here
That's not true. You have to hold on to both ends of the cable to allow the current to pass into the house. How could you not tell them that? EDIT: The tingling will pass.
I completely took apart my handheld shower head trying to figure out what is going on with the low water pressure. It was fine at first but started to get lower and lower which has become annoying. I’m about to put it back together without the water restrictor and see what happens.
For all you folk worried about water waste: If you got an adjustable shower head: wet yerself down with medium pressure, turn the thing down while ya scrub, then blast yerself off quick-like with the good pressure so no soapy residue. Water usage should be about the same. ✌️
Wow all the illogical comments by people who are overly concerned about how you shower - yes, the flow restricted is required by the EPA in the hopes that it will reduce water consumption. However, the EPA provided no actual evidence that it would when this rule was promulgated. By increasing the water pressure you increase the gpm flow of the water, which increases the pressure, but can also allow you to reduce your time in the shower as each minute of use is now more effective. You may now actually decrease your overall water consumption as you now require less time to shower. Removing the flow restrictive may increase your usage by 1 gpm, which if offset by a reduction in shower time of 2 minutes now would save water.
This is pretty much mandatory at my house. Having a private well the water pressure here starts at half or less of anyone getting water from the city. Restricting that further means that I can't even effectively was the soap off my skin in the shower and end up itchy all day. These do have their uses and help save water but they are not needed in all places and can even waste water in cases like mine where I was spending 3 times as long in the shower rinsing off before removing the this.
It is a big difference. I do this every time I put in a shower. At my last house, I had to remove all the restricted in the facets too, because the low flow caused my tankless water heater to overheat.
If you live in an apartment that has exceptionally poor water pressure this might be a solution. Yeah you’re wasting more water but you are also paying for more water use. So if you’re willing to pay for it why not!
@@ProjectfullCurcit I don't think it's just if you're paying for it. it's also water being wasted, it doesn't just matter if you pay for it, it's about it getting polluted and re-used in rivers, lakes and etc. if not reused then all that water is dumped into the ocean
