Just some clarifications on the NFL stuff from a football fan:
Travis Kelce is the “tippy-top”. He’s the best tight end in the league and will be a hall of famer (even one of the best tight ends of all time) by the end of his career
And yes lol, the chiefs are a big deal. They’ve been arguably the best team over the last 5 years at least.
Also, showing the box that she was in being televised and plastered on ESPN doesn’t require being paid, they show the boxes every time there’s any famous people in them. They even show the reactions of the team owners in the boxes all the time.
Yes, the viewership has been on a slow decline for a while, however, it’s not crashing. It still surpasses just about anything and everything else publicly televised.
All that being said, it still wouldn’t shock me if the NFL did incentivize her to appear, but I’m with Maya, I don’t think that makes the relationship fake. If anything it makes more sense that the NFL would get wind of them dating causing them to spring into action and pay her to show up.
Also, QTs opinions on how Travis Kelce looks is INSANE lol. And this is coming from a straight dude.

My grandma died from ALS. I remember when she got diagnosed, she asked my mother in tears if she would lose her mind, because that was her biggest fear about growing old and mental illness is really common in our family. But no... she lost her mobility slowly but surely, but kept her wits about her until the very end.

I lost my grandfather to ALS. He was a very stoic man but also loved to crack jokes. Seeing him that physically weak was really hard especially when he wouldn't admit something was wrong. Even near the end when he could barely speak he would manage to say something funny. He didn't talk about his emotions or fears often, but you could hear it all through his actions, and when he couldn't move anymore, his eyes. I'm glad they're talking about how much ALS sucks, not enough people know.

Yeah I couldn’t watch past Maya saying the average viewership per game of the 2023 nfl season went up by 1 mil only because of the one game Taylor swift was at. There’s been 49 games this season so far already
She literally said viewership was down and then went on to say things that also aren't true. Almost none of it was true.

The Taylor/Travis rumors didn’t start until week 3. The 2% increase in viewership you mentioned was for week 1 and 2. If you look at Super Bowl views over the years they’re still bringing in solid viewers. They brought in more last year than the year before.

For context, the Cowboys-Jets game last week averaged 25.78 million views, and the Week 3 2022 matchup between the Buccaneers and Packers (most viewed match up that week) averaged 24.65 million views.

Great ep, this was so fun and I can't wait for the gala, I'm sure it'll go well and the important thing is about the fundraising & all the moments that will happen during the stream, it's ok if there's some issues during the red carpet and stuff, people (the sane ones, which is like 98%) will remember the fun and how their streamer fought to bid this other streamer, etc; not technical stuff or animal facts gone wrong. You guys are doing a great thing and that's what matters the most, if people choose to focus on the negative, then it shines a terrible light on the type of person they are.

Yep. When she said that the NFL has cratered in viewership over the last two years, I was just shaking my head. I am pretty sure the NFL is strong as ever if not increasing still.
The NFL/Taylor swift segment was hard to listen to, the nfl is bigger than taylor swift nothing against her but it's ridiculous to suggest, and as much as I'm sure they enjoyed the publicity they don't need it. Their viewership isn't at an all time low, networks don't need permission or to pay to broadcast a person's imagine during a telecast (even if they are a public figure), and the increase in viewship was week 1&2 not 3, viewership has been steady averaging between 15-17 million weekly since 2016. Like I like Taylor Swift but this is the conspiracy cult of personality shit that makes her fandom unbearable @@hendrixf55

The NFL’s viewership only slightly dropped from 2021 to 2022, and it was due to Thursday Night Football moves to Amazon. It has not gone down dramatically.

My dad died in January 2022 from ALS. Two years prior he complained that his hand felt like it was asleep at all times.
Statistically QT you do not have ALS. But if you do, you'd know really quick.
Edit: I hastily posted but looking back this sounds meaner than I meant. My intention was to reassure, not to condescend. Thank you so much for bringing attention to ALS, it is a horrific illness that renders people as prisoners in their own body. More research is so critical.

It raised over 200 million dollars for the ALS research group, and the grants and fundign they were able to give out enabled scientists to find over a dozen genes that turned out to be linked to it. The average ALS patient is GENUINELY better off after it! The rate of research before it was so slow, but it ramped up a ton after.
It actually makes me really happy, the Internet actually CAN come together and do something worthwhile!!
this episode was so fun! im so excited for the gala. for the ten minute rainforest donation segment, a cool way to fill time might be to pull up some of the guests and have them compete in little conservation themed games (e.g, competing to make as many paper trees as possible in a short time frame, each tree made is another acre donated on top of chats efforts). either way it's going to be a really fun event to watch with such a positive impact!! can't wait to see the outfits!
