"The Adventures of Pluto Nash" (2002) starred Eddie Murphy, Rosario Dawson, Dennis Quaid and Peter Boyle, among other familiar faces, and the film sent a new standard for failure at the box office. But is the movie really that bad? Barkey weighs in on "The Adventures of Pluto Nash" (2002).

I deliberately avoided this one in light of the response; thanks for watching it for us, Barkey (as always)!

As I've heard other films described, it is a movie of a man who is told he can do no wrong. But is sadly, horribly, terribly mistaken.

I hadn’t seen this one but always heard Randy Quaid’s performance was something else. I watched it last month and the whole movie was something else. I still don’t know if I liked it or not 😅

I hope Eddie Murphy and Randy Quaid stumble upon this review. It might cheer them up a bit, since both have been pretty much blacklisted of late.

It's way better than that haunted house movie with Eddy, or any of his later flicks.

I haven't seen the movie but it looked like some good players were involved, I've never seen Cut throat Island but from the few clips I have viewed it looks good. Next you could review Leonard Part Six. Maybe it was not as bad as people say.

No it’s bad. It’s really bad. Even Cosby himself hated the film.

Hello Barkey you look like a good boi
So this is a new genre we have? Plush/puppet reviewers?

All good points Barkey. Poor Eddie Murphy has bad luck with some movie genre, this film and The Golden Child just didn't hit with an audience. This movie also has a lot of references to old-time gangster movies like Little Caesar.

    It's "Citizen Kane" compared to today's ¢r@p.

I like this movie. I used to watch it a lot on television as a kid. It's a guilty pleasure of mine.

It's a decent Mid-Teir Rainy Night Movie. Not deserving of the hate but still not great.

Hay, Barkey, you should do some summer reviews such as The Van (1977) and Summer School (1987).
