Worth noting that Muteki Shogun had a couple different gattai patterns. This video only has the first, "long" one. The second has the Kyodai Juusho on a cliff, combining with the "leap" animation. The third is a quick version of the "long" one that doesn't show the combination at all, cutting from Muteki Shogun's image directly to it landing fully combined. Muteki Shogun has also _revealed_ itself from the Phantom Castle (basically just... standing up while the castle exterior crumbles off), and has just _appeared_ in battle.
So, to recap, Muteki Shogun can be formed via: a traditional gattai, a spiritual fusion, a summoning, as part of a building, and _by itself whenever it feels like it._ (And the Kakuranger never pilot Super Muteki Shogun - it only ever combines with Tsubasamaru on its own. This is why it commands its own gattai.) This is extremely unusual in Sentai, since the "gattai sequence" traditionally has the secondary purpose of helping young viewers figure out how to play with their new kickass toys.
Additionally, (Super) Kakure Daishogun doesn't necessarily need all five units to appear - in ep 33 it just flies around with the others, with only its left arm, while Sasuke and God Sarudar do all the fighting.
"Gattai" is more or less metaphorical with the Sanshinsho, because they're something like benevolent spirits (Ninjaman especially) or minor gods. It's fascinating to consider, and I like to think they're the antithesis of the old "force of nature" Kaiju. No wonder the Alien Rangers MMPR season was so damn weird - the Sanshinsho wouldn't translate _at all_ to American culture!

There are two versions of the long combination: The complete version only appeared 4: The only difference was that the Muteki Shogun image appeared behind the 5 Juusho behind them before they started to run.
There is another version which I like the most: combining the long version before appearing from Phantom Castle (only use in Kakuranger movie)
Is the third version the combine scene that they used in the OP? I rmb they used it when Muteki SHogun was defeated for the 1st time (and was the last time 5 of them combine into Muteki Shogun since he can move by himself after)

Interesting thing is (if I recall correctly) the Power Rangers got their version of Kakure Daishogun _before_ they got their version of Muteki Shogun. Then again I don’t remember seeing much of season 3, only the part about some new power-up that gave them superspeed.
