This is not a cover of Megadeth's "Holy Wars... The Punishment Due" (note the "s" at the end of "Wars"), it's an original Lovebites track titled "Holy War" (without the "s"). The ladies' music is quite diverse, they don't just play fast. For a slower tempo, I recommend:

For their slower songs, I recommend "A FROZEN SERENADE". I think it's fair to say that this ballad-like song is one of LOVEBITES' masterpieces.
I also recommend "EMPTY DAYDREAM", "Edge Of The World" and "EPILOGUE" (commonly known as 3E of LOVEBITES).
No other band has a collection of elite level individual, dual and harmonized guitar solos across their catalog ever, and it's not even close. As a reference, been listening to metal for over 50 years.

56yo 80s metal head and musician, and a huge guitar fan(Moore, Schenker, Gilbert, McAlpine, etc)....no band has a better duo than Midori and Miyako. There might be better guitarists in bands, but not a better two. They are AWESOME together. Favorite band for me. Period!
Oh, to me, all their songs are really different. But if you want a slower song try "Edge of the world" and "Epilogue".

As others have said, they do ballads and prog-metal songs with slower sections. The "E" songs, Frozen Serenade, and if you want a stunning blues-based section in the middle of a thrash song, "Break the Wall".
"Epilogue" is the song you are guys looking for.
I would suggest the next Lovebites reaction The Awakening The Hammer of Wrath from the user Live. Wacken show is raw and earlier in their career. Great performance there too. 🤘🏼

Sorry. You made a mistake in the name of your reaction. "Holy Wars" is a song by MEGADETH. You reacted to the song "Holy War".This is the original LOVEBITES song. MEGADETH has nothing to do with the song "Holy War". "Holy WarS" and "Holy War" are completely different (lyrics and music) songs !

Michael Romeo and Petrucci together could take M&M. But hey... those guys are the best in the world with a 30+ year professional career and many albums/tours under their belt. The fact that we are even comparing M&M to this level of talent says it all. M&M is the future.

@@MissLoonasSpeech I consider it to be a "professional career" when you are cutting albums, playing shows, and doing music as the primary means of paying your bills. Writing songs, teaching, and selling merch is also part of it.

Thanks for this reaction! For different tastes of Lovebites I'd suggest: 1. Frozen Serenade; 2. Empty daydream; 3. Raise som hell; 4. Rising; 5.Shadowmaker. It's important to always have in mind that Lovebites songs have most of times uplifting lyrics, in oposition of most heavy metal bands works, that tend to be darken and dreary. This is remakable in this band.
One of the best of them is the song The Crusade (live from 2021) Worth a reaction.

for a real soulful slow song would be Epilouge. Then there is frozen serenade and edge of the world. They are all good. Take your pick. 😊
Slow song? They don't really have one, exactly, but they have a few that are slower. I'd recommend "Empty Daydream" czcams.com/video/BkPxcnsRjlk/video.html as it is a bit of a departure for them. I saw someone else mentioned "Frozen Serenade" and that has a surprise in the middle and is a straight up masterpiece. That is another fantastic choice. Question: If you want something slower and a bit more "polymorphic", why don't you listen to "Edge of the World"? There is a live version, it's a considered to be one of their masterpieces.

Great musicians but I don't think the vocals work for this song.
It's Power Metal, it works for the song and the genre. I would rather have female vocalist that can belt high than a male doing the same thing any day.

@@TheCyberMantis Yes, heard them before they were very good. Myself, I'm a little partial to Ralf Scheepers from Primal Fear and assorted Kai Hansen projects. He has range with plenty of power (kind of rare in Power Metal these days)
