No. This is 7th century BC Rome. Romans look innacurate. They look like the Imperial Roman Legionaries, however, back then, the Romans were just a tribal Italian warriors living in mud huts. The Romans back then never knew the sense of order and discipline as in times of Caesar and Augustus. They were mainly war bands stealing cattle. So no big deal back then.
The difference between Italian and American films is that Italian films adhere to history like this one, American ones to profit and have little to do with history like Troy and the gladiator. Beautiful films but made up.
Love your channel. So many movies I've never seen or even knew existed! I loved these kind of movies when I was younger, still do, truth be told and wish they'd make them again. But these kind of films aren't everyone's cup of tea.
