Yes, Kirsty, I was absolutely astounded when I saw that picture. And those young men apparently represented the brightest and the best! Appalling! Don't know if you caught it, but a double-decker bus can be seen in the old-time photo at 2:05. It's an unusual sighting of a double decker outside of Great Britain. I believe the photo is from Chicago as Michigan Avenue is a prominent street in the Windy City. I collect old postcards of double-decker buses and yes, they can be found in various countries around the world, but, nevertheless, it is very unusual to see them outside of the U.K. Keep smiling, my CZcams friend.
@@davidmcgee6258David I too love double deckers and still use them in England when my journey is a bit further . Only drive so far in my car. Its great to have a hobby like collecting things. 😊
Had to do a double-take on the old-time photo at 2:21 -- a sign for a jeweler. Due to the angle the photo was taken, the surname Fuchs appears to have a 'K' instead of an 'H' -- at least when you look at it quickly and have tired old eyes like I do. In other words, it almost appears as if the surname is actually an obscenity we hear all too often in today's sick and depraved world where swearing abounds.. The Time Then is the top channel on CZcams for historic photos -- and I 'swear' that's the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
