Hillsborough was only getting done if England won the bid for either the 2018 or 2022 World cup
This looks different to the World Cup bid plans. The north stand looks to have got rid of the megastore and replace it with entry steps.
Not to worry we had it in 1966 world cup and the European championship in 1996 plus they have had 28 FA cup Semi finals 2 league cup final replys with the largest Kop in Europe when first built. Record Attendance almost 73k fans saw Sheff Wed v Man City in 1934 season

As a Nottingham Forest fan since the mid-70’s though living in the USA, I hope the owner, who also owns Greek club Olympiacos, finally get this project underway. Initially it was supposed to take place in the summer of 2019 to demolish the Main Stand and possibly ready for the 2020-21 season. It would have been great to get it done then especially as there were no fans between spring 2020 and May 2021.

@@oscarr_12 LOL… nah. Because I didn’t grow up in or ever live in Nottingham or England I have none of that local hatred. I was happy when Leicester won the PL a few years ago. Truth is I think it’s good for the East Midlands if all clubs were in the flight.

I think they still need planning permission because the plans require demolishing the yacht club and they still haven’t come to an agreement.
Yes it’s actually quite complicated because of having to rehouse the yacht clubs next door and the fact it involves the city council AND the county council. But I believe it will get done eventually, might not be breaking ground until 2025 though…
