'Hoochie' clothes.....you CRACK ME UP!!!! Your channel popped up for me to see today for the 1st time ever and I loved this episode! You are funny, transparent, not afraid to show your weaknesses and that business about Schitt's Creek'....LOOOL HAAHA LOL. I've liked and sub'd now excuse me while I go off and marathon some of your shows. Btw, I am determined this year to learn amigurumi....have bought the supplies and watched a train load of vids on the subject and am excited. Took me 3 years to learn simple crochet but learning has always been a huge struggle for me. At 76 I have overcome a lot of things in life and amigurumi is going to be one of them!! Tfs😀
Thank you soooooo much and I’m so glad you found me! ♥️ I just love amigurumi, there is definitely a learning curve, but if you can do simple crochet, you can do this. Don’t let the magic ring or circle stop you. There are ways around it. Feel free to reach out if you need help or ideas for great easy patterns to start with. A lot of people try foods first. Most are round with very little sewing. So glad you’re here! ☺️♥️♥️

I have been binge watching your channel for the last week after watching you 3 days ago and I must say I love your humor! I'm a knotty knit wit fan but they haven't posted recently so scrolled through and yours is awesome! I get you as I'm bad at intentions 1 month into the year and it's all over. I have been crocheting for decades and knitting since 2017. Amigarumi has always scared the 😮 out of me but I ordered a book (can't remember which one) that you recommended for beginners so we'll see....please keep posting.

@@therumimillcrochet Nana Jones taught me to make homemade noodles, pizza and cinnamon buns. Grandma B was a crocheter, and I still use the afghan she gave me over 40 years ago. I learned so much from both grandmothers.

Oh honey….i was with you in Sophie’s universe. I did about 10 rounds and then hid it in a bag, probably never to see the light of day again. You had me at you and grandma, I was like that with my maw-maw. I'm in TX too. Listen, I'm making the kraken in Lapp's other book and the amount of 'this makes no sense' and 'I wish there was a picture' is real. Then I went to look at Lapp's YT for a stitch instruction and found that equally confusing. Been crocheting for years, imho this book could have been much better. Not disputing her talent or creativity and I'm grateful to have the bones, as it were, to make what I imagine. I adore everything about your impkin.

I’d suggest getting a highlighter for which ever body type u choose and highlight those lines. And the cocoon, is completely optional. So, personally, I like having my larva as a butterfly and the cocoon just is something to take up space. So….you got this. 🩵🦋🩵 if you need anything feel free to reach out. ♥️♥️
Your impkin and butterfly are so cute. As for the skip stitch to make a decrease, I've seen that done on a Frida Kahlo amigurumi YT video. Instead of doing a decrease, the designer skipped a stitch to decrease instead. Different, I thought. Tried it. Didn't like it. Left holes. Stickin with the invisible decrease.
That is interesting about skipped stitch. I honestly have never seen that. And since I know me, and my inability to do things that I have deemed “very wrong” this is just beyond my abilities. I know how to adjust it, but I ain’t go no time fo dat. Ya know? Invisible decrease for the win every time. And glad to know I’m in good company. 😍😁
Tulip is ah-dorable!! 😍 I am absolutely going to check out Julie's pattern when I make my next impkin. I do have so say though, things could have been much worse with Tulip.....You could have named her Claire instead and used Schitts Creek yarn to make her skirt. Now this means Grandma Claire is bootyliciulous with Schitts yarn 😬💩😂

Awe, Sister! 💕🥰 You always make me smile! ♥️♥️ It surprises me in the least that my twinsie also has this book because…twins…duh!! 😂 If I were you, I’d search for a free unicorn pattern that looks similar then print it out, tape it inside the book and make it look like you’re using the book. Then, walla…easy, beautiful unicorn technically from the book. That is legible, lovely and won’t cause you to say magical words that start with schitts creek. 😂🤣♥️ Wishing you a beautiful day! 🌈🦄

Awwww man I was cheering for the Unicorn book bec hubby had picked it out but every book cant be a winner and he tried. Thats wat matters. I think Tulip is the cutest thing ever and I was laughing so hard wen u were telling the story of how she came to be. Lol. As someone who doesnt always follow the pattern bec sometimes its just too much and too many steps to get the same result, or close enuff for me, by doing it my way. And i got some of the Schitts Creek yarn during the black friday sale. I wasnt sure how i would feel because i had never felt it in person but its pretty good for amigurumi and Im currently doing the Jam Jar CAL from Opelia Talks w my daughter using some of it now and its working up great.

Yes!!! Go bite the bullet. It is a great book. Just know that body in the book is wacky. If you do the sitting body, follow the top half of Julie’s pattern. And know wherever you see chain 1…don’t do it. Keep going in a spiral and you will be fine. Have fun!♥️♥️

Tulip is CUTE! She looks like she would be right at home on Planet Nahfalafagus, or quite frankly, any other Moriah landskape where the rainbows are always in the correct order 🌈😂 The stonewashed really is a wonderful yarn for amigurumi.

I really love your butterfly and that's so sweet you named her for your grandma ❤ I have seen the skipped stitches in patterns before too and I just ignore it and do an invisible decrease instead. I don't understand why designers do that, but maybe that is the way in other countries. 🤷🏼♀️ I really like hearing your opinions on books. I've been trying hard to figure out which books are AI on Amazon now too. I've not tried any of that yarn before. I really want to try to skein tones one day though because I know I have a hard time finding skin and hair colors in regular yarns. Always look forward to watching your videos! 🤗🥰
