UPDATE: The lipstick wore beautifully throughout the day! I wore it on my birthday, to dinner and drinks. It stood up through all of that wearing a removing my mask. A little bit did get on my mask, and by about 2am it felt a little dry. But it faded nicely; not patchy or unevenly at all. HIGHLY recommend. And let me know if you'd like to see a comparison between the LE lipsticks and Pat McGrath Lipsticks... 🤔

I have a little trick for being able to "see" which undertone a red lipstick is (sometimes its only easy to see which is which when u swatch others next to it, which isn't always an option)... Swatch the red lipstick on your hand, and very gently blend and sheer out the edge... Cool toned reds will blend/sheer out to a magenta/hot pink shade, truly neutral toned reds will blends out to a rosy/carnation pink, and warm toned red lipsticks will blend out to a more peachy-pink...
This might already be an obvious hack but hey, just thought I'd share in case it helps anyone 😊✌

I always hated red lipstick on myself till I tried an orange based red and looked amazing. That accidental discovery made me realize blue based lipsticks don’t work for me at all, and changed my foundation game too👍🏽

Now do this with pink lipsticks, please!💕 I love 60's makeup, even though I have a light neutral skintone, baby pink unfortunatly doesn't look good on me (I think), warm and muted shades do and I want to find good lipsticks that I can wear for a 60's look!

One thing I love about certain brands is that they put a c, n, and w for their lipsticks. C obviously stands for cool-tones and I love that it saves time and takes out guess work of what color you pick. Hope this helps someone 💕
THE EYES! Oh my gosh, this video caught my eye immediately because of the eye look - her eyes look amazing. Truly, the whole look is amazing... and it's exactly what I'm going for as the weather cools down. Add a little gold, and it's a holiday look, go lighter in the lips and it's casual, add sparkle to the lids and its NYE. LOVE it.
For anyone looking for a drugstore matte dupe, Maybelline's Siren in Scarlet is my go to, ultra matte, and creamy as heck 🥰 (That said, I just order three Velvet Ribbon lipsticks last night because holy shit)

I've watched Lisa for years and finally ordered 3 lipsticks, Ribbon being one of them. And you're absolutely right about it being THE red lipstick. I never wear red lipstick, it's too bold for me, and I do worry about yellow teeth. But when I put Ribbon on, I instantly loved it. It's such a versatile shade, I feel confident to wear it. Glad you feel the same :)
The most underrated thing about your videos, that I love, is how you go straight into the video! 💖 So many make fancy intros etc, but I love how when I click on your videos we just straight into it, no BS or time chatting away on stuff no one actually cares about 😂
My guess for whiter teeth with a blue/purple tone is because it cancels/neutralizes the yellow tone. Like hair color for example, a purple shampoo or toner cancels out the yellow. I love red lips! Btw, why am I just noticing your gorgeous eye color now? It's so pretty. ❤

Well carrie, from your photo it looks like you have a cool undertone with a more warm/yellowy overtone. I'd try going for a more neutral foundation and a warmer concealer and see how that works
If both cool and warm looks fit you why fret, you can enjoy both sides of the spectrum and everything in between 😍 Same for the face.
I used to be very pale and couldn't figure out the undertones but now that I am tanning I'm super yellow so maybe that's the similar situation with you?
When deciding on lipsticks, hair shade etc I highly recommend Photoshop 😂

I’m 1/2 Iroquois, 1/2 Scottish. I have similar skin tone. Undertone blue, overtone yellow. Yellow + blue = green. I find if something works for Alex, it works for me. If you find foundations too pink, use her green additive trick. It helps add some of that yellow without pulling orange 🍊!

Make-up is fun so play with it a little, i promise if you swatch enough red lipsticks and try a few you will find the perfect red for you. It so depends on the colour of your skin your undertone and your personal preference, are you comfortable with bold looks or do you prefer something else? All questions i can't answer for you, but i bet you can.

Well you are a bran muffin. Don’t expect II stock to look good on a bran muffin. Try marmalade.
Having a warm undertone red on the lip directly beside the teeth makes the yellow tones in your teeth stand out more to the eye. Having a cool-toned/blue undertone red directly beside your teeth makes the eye notice the blue undertones in your teeth (which makes your teeth look whiter).

If it looks too striking at first, try using a little bit with some gloss or balm on the center of the lips and blend it out. Gives you a bitten look and a bit of the bold color you may be seeking :)
Same, but deep truly neutral reds look insanely good in my case (you know the rare shades that don't pull purple or warm brown). Now if having darker lips is a no go for you then I feel your conundrum 🤔 At least you can rock some neutrals and possibly peach (it took me 20 years to realize looking like a kid with red lipstick doesn't imply corals and oranges are bad too)
