- This video of my performance at Carols in the Domain in Sidney Australia in Dec 19th 2009, was originally posted in the youtube channel of Cliff Hogan, an Australian fan, who then forwarded it to us. The songs performed were "Blue Christmas, written by Billy Hayes and Jay W. Johnson, and "O' Little Town of Bethlehem" written by Phillip Brooks an Episcopal priest of the Holy Trinity in Philadelphia, with Music composed by Lewis Redner. Both Songs appear in the 1995 CD " The Magic of Christmas."
Six years ago Edward Lipinski commented below that “Elvis was better.” Elvis threw his beautiful gift away by doing drugs. Engelbert did not abuse his gift from God but cherished it and used it for twice as many years as Elvis. I loved Elvis too but he was a fool and he’s dead. Enge sings on. God bless him. 8/1/19
Engelbert at 75 still radiates that great energy.
This was in '09. 10 years ago. He was 73. 2 years is 2 years. I pray for continued good health.

There is nothing Enge can't sing! Love anything he sings. I listen to him every night before I go to bed. Calming beautiful music. One beautiful gentleman and voice!

I love all he sings But I Love Christmas Carols EH.
Not easy singing with a choir like that rather than your own musicians and singers...super, loving performance from Engelbert ...that outstanding voice at the end! and the gorgeous, sexy way (don't think Enge still realises!) that he walks off at the end! Adorable.
Not until now, after some thirtieth times I've watched it over the years, have I discovered that the thing that he constantly tell people throughout his career that he still gets nervous on stage after all these years is true! Just look at how he looks so stiff the first sentence of "blue christmas", and how he was so stunned that he almost missed the entrance of the second line "I'll be so blue thinking about you". He actually was late and came in after "I'll be", and later, he even sang the lyrics wrong on "decorations are red", and changed it to "celebrations are red"... only after a while could he settle his emotions down and sing with more confidence! What an interesting thing!
Englebert is a very talented man he is so romantic with all is songs love him dearly xx
