It's abundantly clear that Polyphony needs to address this type of behavior. As an example, I had finally worked myself up to a B dr and an S safety rating, which was a herculean effort on my part still playing with a controller. I race cleanly to the point that when I see someone has a run on me I will give them the room to make a clean pass. I respect clean racing and working to get around. It's what makes racing so fun. The work involved in figuring out how to pass someone without ruining their race. Incidentally, if they do have a run and you fight them, typically it ends up being costly to both individuals. When someone has a good run on you, give them some room and then get in the draft. Yes if its an even battle then let's dance, but let's do so in a clean manner. Even if that person passes after dancing a lil bit, it's still rewarding because it was clean racing even if you lost the position. It happens all the time in real racing. But when you work to cleanly overtake and then that person comes back to crash you off, it really is not an incentive to keep racing.
I refuse to just be crashed off now. So subsequently I've changed my racing strategy to drive defensively and repay those who just crash their way through. I've gone from just ignoring the intentional ramming to actively going after each person who purposely ruins other's races. It sucks because it's not as enjoyable and I find myself racing on emotion rather than good racing discipline and etiquette.
I know the feeling but i still stand by my "clean racer" commitment. Sometimes there are just these idiots which you can't do much about without ruining your own race and commitment to race clean. I had that in the last few races of the Nations Cup as well, did in two rounds another race later and gota better and cleaner lobby and a better result.
What i do though is save the replay, make screenshots of the nickname of the driver's and then go and check the replay and after that upload thereplay or even screenshots into the GT7 showcase area and name and shame these guys so everyone can see how dirty they are. Much more satisfying.
The blue Ferrari rear ended me twice into that corner where your contact was. Once in that race and in another. No apologies were given 😂

thanks for this. Been watching your videos of late and recently got into sim racing (albeit as an over 50 with slower reaction times !) and really enjoying it. Loving GT7 but really struggle with getting out of D rating given always seem to get collected from the back which ruins race. Many times I just hang back and watch the carnage unfold. Any tips would greatly be appreciated..........

Daily B was my go-to this week. Ended up mostly as good fun, with some hard racing. Yes there was the odd punt going on, but I picked up a few victories myself, and found myself improving significantly in quali throughout the week!

One thing that I have noticed of recent times, is the amount of B's ( I check the stats of idiots ) who have low amounts of races, meaning that they are newbs very low clean races but just absolute rammers, but they progress through the ranks and I just don't get it, never or rarely get penalties and think that they are shit hot. A good driver never needs to hit anyone and passes at will, that's pretty much why I Hate the game now, it's sickening and no fun.

What a strange world this is. Many writing comments like "(...) in the lower lobbies (...)" and stuff like this, and then we see videos like this, showing that the DR rating doesn't seem to be a thing. Honestly, this race had everything, that most would say happens in lower lobbies only. Quite shocking, tbh.
I'm in the lower lobbies. Had a few bad races, came back to it a couple hrs later, and everyone was rather clean and just the accidental bumping going on that I could see.can be like that at times .
There is chaos across all the DR ratings, maybe just slightly less at A+ 😅
And no penalty for the Bugatti. Typical PD.

Yes, this week was terrible 😅 people don't know when to wait to overtake, they see a small chance and just sends on you, I had 2 good races out of 10 😂😂
