  • Introducing the 500R outboard from Mercury Racing. This supercharged 500hp V8 outboard was created for no-compromise owners of the fastest luxury sport boats. The 500R introduces a host of new components engineered to complement the raw power produced by this engine and the challenging demands of extreme-performance boating. Capable of delivering more than 500 horsepower in a wide range of conditions, and weighing as little as 726 pounds, the 500R establishes a new benchmark for outboard power density. This outboard motor offers incredible mid-range punch and pulls with unrelenting authority all the way to wide-open throttle. This is the most exciting production outboard to ever emerge from Mercury Racing.
    The 500R delivers more than 500 eager horsepower, 50 more horsepower plus 10 percent higher torque than the 450R model. Its 4.6-liter 64-degree V8 FourStroke powerhead is boosted by an exclusive Mercury Racing supercharger. The engine is designed to perform on pump fuel with a minimum 89-octane (95 RON) rating. The 500R outboard motor features upgraded component designs in the powerhead, cooling system, midsection and steering system. An all-new, 5.9" diameter gearcase, available in R-Drive and R-Drive Sport configurations, efficiently transfers the power to the water while delivering outstanding durability, handling characteristics, and cooling.
    The 500R model features Mercury Racing technology solutions designed to enhance the boating experience, including the precision of Digital Throttle and Shift (DTS) with available Mercury Racing Digital Zero Effort controls. Multiple color options are offered - Phantom Black, Cold Fusion White or Ready-to-Paint.
    The 500R is covered by a three-year limited factory warranty with up to five additional years of Mercury Product Protection extended factory warranty available. #wideopen #powerboat #boating #boat #mercurymarine #powerboats #boatlife #speedboat #boats #raceboat #racing #powerboating #speedboats #mercuryracing

    I bought a 20 hp mercury and sold my old johnson motor, the mercury just had more power even for 20 hp.
    The design cypher on the back of the boat off of tge old flags was part of an engine also, i didnt realise they had aft burners in mesoptamia but i guess so. 😉

    What's the difference between a 300 pro xs and a 300r?

    • @mercuryracingofficial
      @mercuryracingofficial  Před měsícem

      There are many differences when comparing the Mercury 300hp ProXS and the Mercury Racing 300R. The tuning of the engine, the components used to build the powerhead, a selection of optional midsections and gearcases, as well as the rear tie-bar configuration only briefly detail what sets the 300R engine apart from those of our mainline manufacturing offering. Yes, but does it have automatically adjusted hydrocoptic marzal vanes in the supercharger section? Because without them, you'd need to add an antihydratic disenfranchilator ahead of the pressure-sensitive bypass trivalves. The instantaneous hydrolastic overpressure of the inlet manifold ducting would be horrendous!

      Not to mention that the transversely mounted gyro buffer injector stators for the clenching valves at the back of the cooling coils for the circuit breaker manifold gasket tightening ratchet cross member with the same bolt plug will have to be replaced at least every sixth month.

      @davidlenig8470 Před 6 měsíci +1

      @markwoodbury2653 every 6th month only if the anti-hydrostatic balance pulley is a few 10,000th ounce of balance. If you keep the air lubricator fluid reserve tank full of race grade lubricitor fluid, and the fuel ionizer negatively charged (positive charge leads to more carbon buildup and detonation), the gyro buffer injector stator will last at least 7 or 8 months...

      All for the low low price of $135,000. But it you act today, you’ll get an extra engine for today for the introductory offer of just $13,900!

      @@rinzlerprime3372 Depends on what inboard of course. I have an old tri-hull with a tuned up "iron duke" 4 cyl in it. Its basically the same motor as the old Northrop mail trucks you're use to seeing in the USA. They put those in a ton of GM vehicles too. The marine version is rated for 130 HP.

    Mercer is definitely avoiding the small working class boater. Everything in this ad starts @ over a million dollars. Great if you are a mega millions or a Power ball winner. Other than that, NOBODY can afford it
