W Gorzowie Wielkopolskim mieszkał Carl Teike kompozytor, autor marsza Alte Kameraden.

Adoro a las simpáticas y lindas chicas majorettes de la Grodzisca Orkuiestra Deta. Son las mismas del año 2011. Alguién sabe si son amateur y cuantos años tienen?. Estas costumbres polacas de las orquestas y mayorettes son envidiables.

Szkoda, wydaje się, że w tym roku nie będziemy mieli innego kameradem w Polsce. Mam nadzieję, że się mylę, to wzorowa uroczystość.

I find the location very funny. It's a memorial of Polish-Soviet cooperation against fascism. So a Polish band plays a famous German march in a pre-1945 German city, with a gigantic Soviet memorial in the background. Music unites people!

Alte Kameraden in Gorzow is part of the qualifications for bigger marching band events. It is held in Gorzow because that is where Carl Teike lived, the composer of the Alte Kameraden march, so the name of the event is in his honor. There is a plaque to his memory on the house where he lived, and it is decorated during the event.
