I'm so proud of Anette Norberg! She's from my small hometown Härnösand and lived just a street below my grandpa, I think her mother and father still does actually. When they got home me and some members of the orkestra that I'm in played for them as we welcomed them home to our town again and it was one of the biggest things I've done!

Curling is one of those sports that on first glance seems absolutely stupid but the more you watch and the more you understand, the more enthralling it becomes. The Swedish Women's squad in curling from that year is a national treasure, they smoked the competiton all the way to the finals against Canada which they SHOULD have lost if Canada wouldn't have fumbled their last stone in extention (basically Canada fumbled a sudden death advantage).
Basically what I'm saying is curling is fucking cool and don't mess with swedes on ice.

Anette is just incredible though she made some mistakes. 10th end is just so tough before skip throws. But she turns that to a decider and win it all. She is really the queen of curling!

+Majoofi it's the time it takes for the stone to travel between the two hog lines. Some teames also have have a certain zone system where they divide the goal area into zones assigning each a number, so that the player always know exactly where to land instead of the skip having to give lengthy descriptions for each stone.

Anette Norberg and her teammates deserved to win the gold medals for sure. They were the best curlers in Vancouver in 2010. But I have to say that the Team Bernard were good losers. They were also great. Anyway, what a game, huh? I couldn't expect the game ended up like that. I enjoyed to watch this gold medal match many times here in Japan.

This was really hard to watch. I'm really baffled why Cheryl chose to peel a guard that was protecting her own shot rock with her second last stone. I've never seen anyone do that. Wouldn't another guard to protect your own be the right call, then you still have final rock in your back pocket if Sweden makes a miraculous run back with their last.

    • @zmar574

In posision like 44:27 why (canada) doing take out? I just thing that freaze here is better... (ok if freaze fall is possiple to give up 3. but in a good shot is hard to take out only the red one and the posision is possible give up 1!. ( yellow hit red -yellow) with the red nearest to the center.
Ok this is risky move but i thing is still better than 50% change!
2:28:00 too risky try from nothing! Try a double take out fromhome edge when is much easier to go from a draw(75-25 change win win hummer)
Finally 3:03:00 finally win Sweterlang win the game with still
