Is it possible to play as the Ancient Wyvern? Curious to see if it could actually fit in some of the boss arenas and not break the game.
@@effervescentsoliloquoy914 Yes it's certainly possible! I just tested putting one in the Cemetery of Ash and you can walk around freely - it's just really hard to tell what's going on. It has at least six moves you can use too; maybe I'll play as it in a future video!

@@AmazingChest is it possible to attach the character to the boss or enemy your playing as like how Lothric is on his brothers back so you can interact with things and the area loads basically saying when your not in the boss room can the boss or enemy be on you and when you get into the boss room can you pause and switch the controls back to the boss or enemy so your character is on the boss and your playing as it like a turn system
Also I would ask you if you could do a run with the main deacon Royce but then I remember the guy moves slower then a turtle and has like 2 or 3 attacks slower then him so everybody will probably understand why you don’t want to do a run with him since it would be complete pain

I believe the soul of cinders has the backflip ability, so that would be cool if it functioned too.
I heard modding Dark Souls in general is very difficult, especially in North America due to lack of translation. I’ve modded Skyrim and getting this type of mod to work would typically be pretty easy-especially if you already have the combat buttons mapped (you’d pretty much need to tag yourself as the player & a duplicate a separate model from the real soul of cinders). I guess ladders would still be an issue if you can’t change the animation to at least let you glide up it, or fit in certain elevators or whatever. At least you’d know what your signing up for if you’re playing a non-playable character model. I’d enjoy the hell out of this, even if it was just bosses.

To be honest, in some of this boss fights, you don't even need NPC's. Soul Of Cinder straights up either demolishes them or bodies them.
In some of them yes! But it's very important to remember that in this challenge run I doubled every boss's HP and I'm playing a neutered version of the Soul of Cinder. I don't have access to all of his moves or his second phase. Pretty much every boss that I brought phantoms for I had to bring them. Thanks for watching!
@@AmazingChest why make the game artificially more difficult if you’re just gonna take actions that make it easier in turn? Seems like you could’ve just played DS3 as Cinder without summons and with bosses having their normal HP
I wanted to rebalance the game a bit and I wanted an excuse to use phantoms. At the time, I did not have access to most of my character's moveset, so I needed some way to help balance that. I also didn't want to have matches where the opposing boss got steamrolled because I felt like it was boring to watch and that the phantom concept added some variety, but judging from the comments, a lot of people seem to be fine with watching other bosses get rolled so I probably won't include phantoms for powerful bosses in the future. I actually didn't expect this video to get so popular hahaha, thanks for watching.
@@AmazingChest That makes sense seeing that Cinder doesn’t have a dodge and walks around like an edge lord 100% of the time. That would have been enough of a disadvantage IMO and it would’ve been fun to see which bosses got rolled and which ones posed more of a challenge. But I understand that the video is already made and done so no sense on harping on those issues really. Take care.

For the Abyss Watchers, I think you actually took reduced damage in the first phase of the fight. They deal less damage (33%?) to other enemies, so the other Watchers won't either be damage sponges or die in two hits. Since you're controlling the actual Soul of Cinder entity this should apply to you as well.
Not that I think it would have mattered anyway
to make it fair they should get double damage too

there's a mod that gives you the entire SoC moveset on the Firelink Greatsword though, kinda the same thing right?
there's also friede, champion gundyr and a lot more other movesets. it gives you their walking animations and all that

The latest update also now gives you the proper boss skeletons. So your character is now a proper boss meaning you no longer have the limitations in the video

@@AmazingChest you don't, but you can use cheat engine to make yourself roughly as tanky as the boss.
The real problem with that mod is that you don't get boss poise. That being said, if you decide to do a Friede playthrough - the mod is perfect for that, because Friede doesn't really have poise.
@Elias, got it! That just gave me the perfect idea for a run.
I remember there was a channel called Datahacks or something along the lines of that. Dude spent a BUNCH of time working on a enemy control mod. He managed to get around the map loading, added an ability to phase through objects at any time, added an ability to make your controlled character become transparent, even was able to allow enemy swapping on the fly. Kinda sucks it wasn’t really shared around.

I beat Yhorm with a Claymore on my first ever playthrough of DS3 =/ I did pick up Storm Ruler and figured it would be the weapon to beat Yhorm with, but when I did the weapon skill in bugged out and only dealt 72 damage, so I beat him with the Claymore instead. It took so many tries that I lost count, but I did do it.

Gundyr: why i hear boss music?
Aldrich has so much HP because you're supposed to hit him in the Gwyndolin, which deals extra damage.
Double HP on these already NG +7 bosses might be a bit much. Maybe 1.5 would be better? Or just no increase at all, NG +7 is pretty tough as it is I would think. Really cool to see the SoC outside his arena fighting the other bosses tho, cool vid
Thanks T-Ray, I've been debating whether or not to double HP or not. I wanted an excuse to use phantoms, but I may just use vanilla HP values for future runs. One of my fears was that the run would be too easy. What are your thoughts there?

This popped into my recommended and I was subbed by the end of the video. I really liked the player(boss) and phantom interaction, felt like there was a bit of a story here. And how if one phantom was lost, they were lost for good. I just found it pretty cool, nice video.

Maybe if you have the Player-Character teleport towards you at all times, then it should be possible for you to interact with fog walls and NPCs.
I'm pretty sure you can hide and give infinite health to the actual Player-Character and then just play as an enemy without any issues. (Assuming you can change the amount of health to the Entity you're playing as)
I've figured all of that out except how to constantly teleport the player to the enemy. Even if I did though, that wouldn't solve the issue of climbing ladders, traversing fog walls, and interacting with levers, doors, and NPCs. Regardless, since this run, I've discovered the EKWRP mod which works differently than what I've showcased here and I've been using it to play through the game as various bosses. Check out the playlist on my channel if you're interested.
As the wise hollow said, get good for a next aproach (joking). Cool idea to fight other bosses as a boss, ill definitely watch other aproaches aswell.

That's a great question! I wanted to restrict myself to only using phantoms that you can summon for each of the required boss fights. I wasn't aware that you could summon Hawkwood for the Crystal Sage fight! The wiki lied to me. 🙁
@@AmazingChest well you can't summon him for the fight, but his mad summon spirit is there and its super OP but you can use him in the oceiros fight
3:55 Wait SoC never does that overhead soul greatsword attack, is it really rare or cut?
It might just be really rare? For some reason it was in my list of moves while I was taking control of him.
Maybe it's rare because no one is going to stay at medium distance away from him? People either back off hard, or close in. Similar to how one channel only recently found out that metal turtles in DS2 can kick and backstab - no one is turning their backs to them for long enough.
Meanwhile I die from backstabs every normal enemy excluding mimics
He does it quite often, it's just he's knocked out of his casting phase quickly.

you could use the boss moveset mod aka Elite Knights Original Weapons mod. it basically turns your character into a boss depending on what weapon you hold (it even has Artorias from ds1 when you hold the wolf knight greatsword)
I wish I'd known about it before I did this run! I'm familiar now and plan on using that mod in future runs.

This isn’t too unrealistic since if you look at the opening cutscene, the Chosen Undead who gets the ash sprinkled on him has a helmet that looks like the Soul of Cinder
Honestly, when I finished Dark Souls 3 it felt like a sort of I don't know what to call it, but I think you now become Soul of Cinders and the next one who kills you, then they become the Soul of Cinders.

There's a mod for DS3 that allows you to play as your player character and have the bosses weapons. All their move sets and such. Just by equipping the weapon you basically take on the boss. The mod is called Elite Knights Original Weapons. A simple mod install. You could change your hero stat values to replicate the boss HP, damage etc within a cheat engine.
Hope this helps if you want to complete the entire game as a boss.

I'm a Pyromancer and op before the sage, 30 intelligence and Faith, killed the Demon king for chaos ball that leaves a lava pool.
Magic resistance didn't help the sage or the Crystal Sage in the Archives, and both died quick. I didn't chase either of them or deal with the irritating clones, also I had 40 Vitality and 30 vigor.

Probably my favorite aspect of this one are the npc helpers and how you need to tactically use them.
That was one of my favorite parts of the run too, if you like that concept, you might be interested in the Undead Cleric run I released last week.
This just makes me think what it’ll be like to play as atorias, fume knight/ancient dragon, orphan of kos, and sword saint Isshin/ demon of hatred.
Don't worry, we'll definitely make our way to the other games.
I love dark souls 3 but the idea of the games main character being the manifestation of the bonfire would be badass like you rose to get rid of the entities trying to snuff out your flame and with every boss killed you gain their strength.
to this day, i’m disappointed that his boss souls didn’t let you make the coiled staff, spear (wait, did he use a spear... or did i just make that up in my head?), and curved sword he used. just the dang greatsword, like all of base ds3’s boss weapons... another greatsword...

Here's an idea for a challenge.
Play as King of Storms/Nameless.
Every Boss has 2 bosses in the arena. Each one a counterpart to the boss.
For example, Iudex and Champion Gundyr together
Vordt and Oceiros(ice beasts)
Abyss Watchers and Lothric(twin bros and twin brothers)
Pontiff and Dancer (twin bladesx2)
Yhorm and Cursed Greatwood (big bois)
King of Storms and Ancient Wyvern(Dragon^2)
Namless King and Lord of Cinder(Royalty)
Aldrich and Gael(Eating the dead)
Demon in Pain and Father Ariendel(masochists)
Demon From Below and Old Demon King
Sister Friede and Wolnir(give yourself to the dark)
If that's possible, itd be pretty dope.

I can’t tell you how many times Anri has been my best summon hands down and has come in clutch too many times to count.
I found a mod that adds (or swaps) boss weapons that function like the boss themselves, some of the standard enemy weapons also have the movesets for their respective wielder and adds weapons/armor for some of the enemies that scales you to their size, as far as I remember there is at least a full size abyss watcher and dragon slayer armor, friedes scythe is cool af

Yep! But then it started getting copyright claimed so I had to get creative with it, sometimes I decide not to use it when I want to usher people over to another video that isn’t performing as well
Big shock that you lost two squads to Aldrich, I believe it was BonfireVN or the other one who tried all of the bosses against Aldrich's arrow barrage, and for like half of them, it was a clean one-shot. Most of the non-gimmick bosses couldn't tank a hit from those.

If this can be make a trasformation, you don't need to climb ladder, sit at bonfire, open door or talk, just run to the game as a enemy/boss and jump to human form when you face a block.
