- Thank you to the EA Creator Network for the early access even though this isn't an early access video anymore haha! Today I'm building with the brand new Growing Together Expansion Pack. I was hopeful that we would get townhomes in this pack, but since we didn't I thought I would make them for you guys! This San Sequoia townhouse complex has 3 units and each home has a different personality. I was sure to include a communal outdoor space with a treehouse and playground area for kids. Haha I think people do different things for various reasons but we kept our girls in our room until they were about 5-6 months and then moved them into their own rooms.
The answer to your question about a crib in your room as a parent, yes. We have a bassinet in our room currently until she grows out of it, and then I have her room with her crib, changing table, book case, rocking chair, etc.
they should definitely add townhomes & hotels, also the ability to add more household members max should be at least 10 to 12 sims per household tbh. I’m gonna need this build with all the packs, basically version 2
A way to make a "multi lot" would actually solve everything from making apartments to making hotels (basically like apartments except the units are set as rental) to townhouses and even mixed use buildings like having one part of the building dedicated to commercial and another to residential. I imagine a lot type that can be split into smaller ones could be doable in the sense that it would have additional requirements like access points like individual front doors that can be accessed staircases if the lot needs vertical access, functional elevators, service areas for trash and mail a communal space like a foyer or a front desk area. and voila you basically could use "group rooms into sublot" or something like that to set apartments or sub lots etc.

I definitely agree on us needing a custom apartment/townhouse feature in a Expansion Pack. This is a beautiful build and I’d probably use it more as a split family home lot. Works better for gameplay.

I think that townhomes are like the Goldilocks and the Three Bears story- they aren’t too big or too small, and they’re the best of both apartments and houses!
San sequoia is so pretty! But I definitely think they should’ve included actual townhouses or row houses since it was inspired by San Francisco 💔 if they couldnt do it in this pack they should’ve saved the SF theme

I like the last unit you did the best....I would love townhouses in the game. I live in one IRL with my husband and two kids
I had a bassinet in my room when my babies were born. It actually attached to the bed. Even though it’s a no-no, I ended up cosleeping with my kids. I breastfed and cosleeping was the only way I could survive. I actually would sleep with the baby in the boob! They always had their own room and own crib but they rarely used it. Some people have kids in a bassinet and then move them to the crib in their room, some people keep the crib in the room, some people put the newborn in a crib in it’s own room. All I can say is do whatever makes you parent your best. But yeah, a bassinet for the newborn in the parents room is pretty normal.

Mom here! Yes the bassinet goes in your room for the first 6 months so you can wake up with the baby easily! Hahaha then they move into their own room if you have the space! 😂😂😂

I’m still going to use this world to have multiple households one one lot, just use the SNB mod to keep the money straight and voila! It’s like those sitcom families where they are always at each other’s house going through the fridge or sneaking up windows to talk to their friends.
cause you turned the bottom bunk out you can put a stuffed animal back there and the bed is still functional (idk if the stuffed animal will work tho)

I'm not a builder I suck at building in The Sims but I would love to see her take on Airbnb type houses like but it's like joined by a family room or the kitchen in most cases both I've always found this concept interesting particular cause I don't socialize with strangers well so I don't get how some people can do it and I can't build for my life so, I would love to see someone do that cuz I have yet to find one like it.
Can you make more townhouses if you need inspiration i have a slightly older couple and the women likes writing and cooking and the man likes fishing and woodworking

Hotels most likely will never happen as we’ve already got a restaurant pack and a spa pack which are two things that probably would’ve come in a hotel pack

Yes to absolutely having the wee little baby in the room with the parents haha not everyone does it and especially not everyone plans for it but more times than not, baby ends up in the same room anyway because I am not going to a whole ass other room a million times in the dead of night to tend to a baby 😂 you gonna sleep real close to me so I only take a couple steps out of bed 😂
i imagined this town house different, i imagined it as a big family. first unit belongs to second unit's child. they had a big family and still want to expand it, but also since the first unit household is the oldest child they don't wan't to have a big family cuz they kinda had a lot of siblings. also they live with their soon to be fiance. second unit family want's to expand the family more and more. and the third unit is the family of the fiance that lives in the first unit. i liked the idea of them all being neighbors but eventually first unit and third unit fell in love and now live together. that's all, love the video❤❤

Absolutely nothing! 😂 I’m not a parent and have never had a job working around children hehe. Can’t wait to look back on this build in 10 years and see what I would have done differently
