Hi wee question about whatnot I’ve started selling on it have you any advice on the payout system I find it extremely complicated compared to eBay etc? And there seems to be a lot of hoops you have to jump through for it.

You didn't mention postage? If you paid £6 and sold for £7 do you not lose on the postage or is Whatnot like Vinted where the buyer pays for the postage?
Wow that awesome, hopefully one day i am allowed to do a live show... Only with the profit margins, do you have to pay 21% Value added taxes quarterly? And regular taxes possibly when you do the taxes for the year? Here in the netherlands tax office is pretty tight.. Jealous whatnot wannebe here
Feel sorry seeing people with only small numbers watching n how for those it's as profitable I'm sure there's resellers sourcing but having a close friend who got in big debt from tv shopping I'm noticing how addictive n easy it is to buy
Under financial section its showing payout for me as -£3.85 is that normal to be minus. Item has been delivered. This was for my first show

Absolutely not! eBay's stuck in the dark ages.
The postage is paid for instantly by the buyers 👍🏻

Buyers pay the postage so I dont have to worry about that. Its something like £2.30 for the first order then 6p-30p every order after that within the same show 👍🏻

Yes international buyers can bid too, their postage is just higher for them and still covered by them too.

The first show was a lot of work yes but now we have things in place & a system it has been a lot easier & quicker.

Well done but it is easy when you have a huge following like yourself. Most people starting on Whatnot will be selling stuff for £1-£2 which is not viable unless you are buying stock for peanuts.

Still cant understand why you’d sell stuff for £20 that you could waist a month and get £40 for 🤷
I've got that £20 within a matter of days in & out the door to then go out the next week to get more stock to sell for more profit quicker.
In a 4 week month I've flipped that £20 another 3 times potentially without hoarding any deathpile & filling out mountains of item specifics.
@@RetroReselling Yea but even if things dont sell for 2 months, tomorrow ive stuff i listed 2 months ago selling for example. If i can make £10 extra on it i’ll happily spend 60 seconds filling in 5 or 6 specifics, it doesnt take long, especially if you have sold/selling similar items, can just sell similar.
I still don’t think it makes sense unless you have a really tiny space for stock and do need a really quick turnaround; or if you have a really low cashflow and need the returns to buy new stock. If you have an adequate stockroom and a half decent cashflow, i cant see why anyone would do it this way.
Whatever suits you though, all the best with it 👍
Just another way of flippin' for profit, there's many different niches, platforms etc 👍🏻
whatnot is deffo more geared towards people will a following already, you have to push for people to be in your show if you dont have people behind you already.

Yes I definitely have the advantage of that but now's the perfect time to start sharing yourself more out there within the reselling community with CZcams, Facebook,. Instagram & tiktok 👍🏻
