  • Jeremy Pinnell visited with WDVX host Mark Murray on the Americana Mix show when he was in Knoxville for a house concert. Singled out by Rolling Stone as one of the “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know”, Jeremy has been gathering praise for his new CD, “Ties Of Blood And Affection” that you have been hearing on the air. His sound has been compared to the likes of none other than Johnny Cash, Buck Owens, Sturgill Simpson, and Waylon Jennings. Jeremy is solo acoustic here, with “The Ballad Of 1892” from the new album. He told us that he wrote the song after reading a book about the assassination attempt of Henry Clay Frick, an industrialist and union buster in the early Pennsylvania steel industry.
