One of my favorite movies ever, not only in the animation genre :)
I discovered this man and his heart-touching films by searching "krumpet recipes" on Pinterest. Best choice I've ever made.
Just finished watching MARY AND MAX, and whenever I'm impressed w/ someone, I seek out their interviews. Adam Elliot is exactly as I imagined he'd be. :)
Excellent film...right up there w/ another one of my black comedy faves of a pariahed protagonist, WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE.
It’s been 10 yrs! Still love listening to this interview though
This movie made me cry so bloody much...
Brilliant movie, simple but heart-rending.
this is one of the best movies ever made. and i have seen a lot of movies. Thank you for this movie.
I just saw the movie for the first time. Tears everywhere.
1:06 - Interesting 🧐 how Adam Elliott mentioned Finding Nemo, considering how Mary & Max features Eric Bana (Damien) and Barry Humphries (Narrator), the voices of Bruce (Humphries) and Anchor (Bana) the sharks 🦈 from Finding Nemo
I love this film so much, thank you the team of this movie ^3^
this movie made me cry when I saw the empty dispaly
beautiful movie which has a sad ending which made me cry and it is animated!!
This movie is so awesome! One of my favorite parts is when Mary puts tears in a bottle for Max because he can't cry and the thing she thinks of to make her cry is a kitten being run over by a lawn mower. I also like the very poignant commentary on the way society views people who are different. I am legally blind and have Asperger's Syndrome and a lot of people are really condescending, especially when they first meet me. I appreciate the message of this movie as well as the humor.
Lovely friendship, lovely film.
Has to be my favourite animated film.
What a touching movie...
This is an exquisite, touching film.A must see!
what an artist! love the interview
That movie kicked ass. When I saw it in the cinema, I felt as if I had made a very wise investment. If I don't get the DVD for my birthday or Christmas, I'm going to purchase it myself.
Very moving.
I love the mention of digital in theaters at the end. To me, it kind of zaps the feeling when you see that window on the big screen, it's kind of like if you connected your computer with an HDMI cable or something. It's unfortunate, but I guess you kind of have to suspend disbelief x2.
My yearly tonic and grounding is a good dollop of M&M every year. Every year. Without fail.
such a beautiful and sad movie...we were watching it at skwl lol
Great interview. Thanks for sharing. ;)
just watched this for first time. this is how id like my animations to be. Love aussie humour !
amazing movie i love the message it gives
6:45 what a stupid question
I agree!
It's not.
Loved it.
the same here! it is so amazing.
@fibee1380 In my humble opinion, the best animated film ever made. I am shocked that the Oscars failed to recognize this film.
Watched this movie on acid, it changed my life...
....I can't even imagine how profound I would have found this movie if I were tripping.
Ryan Calcaterra profound yes i was so confused because i jumped in about 45 mins into the movie when my buds had it on and it felt so real and dark
thank you so much for this! any updates from him?
This is a great animated movie!
Yeah This Film had me from the get. The mary scene sealed it. Awesome stuff!
Y NO FURTHER MOVIES FOR ADAM ??..
STOP-MOTION ANIMATED MOVIES ARE SO REALISTIC(and tough to make)
Question : if Max is dead, how come you got permition from him to create this anime ?
the real Mary alive now ?
I want to see her pic.
He is the real Mary
intelligent
@tolchok89 i am appauled at that! it has the nicest storyline to it, based on a true story, and makes sense... just cos it isnt pixar or dreamworks i bet! thats horrible!
@tolchok89 yep i've gotten myself a copy,,, its very well done... i love the sexual annotions in various parts, quite funny and also quite touching
so sad
Yes, it is very sad and most of the characters are mentally ill!!
