I work at an animal shelter and nothing makes me happier than walking down the kennels and seeing the little tags that Bissel has covered that animal's adoption fee. I'll only ever buy Bissel because of that alone
@@tech4life884 Yeah and bissel is a fraction of the price of a Dyson. It's also more versatile, Dyson doesn't work well on high carpet and very thick carpet
@@tech4life884 i would 100% rather have my money going towards something that will help animals than having a slightly better and more expensive vacuum

@@younoob_doonuoyI must do something wrong in this case. I have tried with pressure and I have issues with some carpets. 😅 there are better vacuum cleaners out there …
The bissell won’t last as long, and luge suction decreases as it fills up. The Dyson maintains the same suction the whole time. You’ll often end up buying enough cheap ones to pay for the good one.
I own a cleaning business with about 20 vacs in operation daily. Some from commercial grade brands. But quite if few bissles. Sharks have been the best value for what they are by actually a long shot because durability has been very solid for almost a decade. We have a couple dysons. Not much to say about them to be honest. Mostly similar performance as the sharks. Maybe slightly better. But given the cost; they arent made for daily use and transport. In the video it is worth noting the bissel is held too vertical. Brushes on bissel engage more when tilted more at the handle. Also the vac was moved 3 seconds quicker with the bissel vs the other.
They know the tilt would have made the Bissell work better, they wanted the Dyson to be the winner in the video. I didn't look but they probably have a link somewhere for us to click and purchase one.
Nah, seconds 6-20 for Bissell and 26-40 for Dyson, they each got their 14 seconds. Plus, it doesn’t matter what angle you put a Dyson at, the brushes are just engaged 😅 I get it if you don’t want to spend that amount of money to abuse it for commercial use, but that doesn’t make it a worse vacuum, nor the video deceptive.
I'll go for Bissell every time. One of my dogs was part of a Bissell pet rescue. Came from a horrible place along with many other beautiful dogs. Bissell sent one of their rescue planes to round up all the dogs and got them to shelters, got them veterinary care, and the shelters were able to get them adopted to good, loving homes. She's a wonderful little girl, sweet natured and just beautiful. We're definitely a Bissell family. 😊❤
I’ll donate to animal shelters and keep buying Dyson. I’m not buying anything subpar because they choose to put their resources towards something unrelated to improving their product
I want the green machine but don’t have any carpet. I mainly want it for the couch and bed is that worth it. Things I’d clean like once or twice a year
I went through 3 Dysons in about 5-6 years. Every one broke, some function quit working, stopped working altogether or pieces broke. Then bought a Shark for half the price and it works better and has been going strong for the past 10 years
Nah an extra pass each section every time takes precious time away plus it maybe more than one extra pass. Let’s not forget that the bissell breaks down quicker than the Dyson. I had both. The spot clean machine is good though from bissell
Nope. Just means you'll be buying a Bissell again in less than a year. Or less depending on how much you use it. My dyson is 5 years old. My Bissell lasted 5mths. Used gently because I didn't have my dog them. I now have 2 kids and a dog that she'd way too much. The dyson does keep up and it's an older model. The battery was my concern
Apparently we already proved, and tested, vacuums could have the same sucking/cleaning power with MUCH less noise. But they didn't sell well because people *thought* the floors were not getting as clean since they didn't hear the RaW pOwEr!!! Of the vacuum. Sucks, I'd totally buy a quiet vacuum.
We had the same dyson a couple years ago. The pickup head only lasted a couple years and a new one is 120 dollars. Pain in the ass to disassemble and clean the filter housing. All the tiny tubes above the filter get packed full of dense dust and makes it just the same as any other cheap vacuum.
This may be true, i just dont enjoy paying the ridiculous price for something im constantly disassembling to clean all the internals. But it seems we didnt learn anything and got suckered into a pyramid scheme. We are not so proud owners of a 3600 dollar vacuum that uses water as a filter. But daaaaamn does it ever pull everything out of the carpet and doubles as an air purifier.
@@ashtondukart8840my mom has possibly the same vacuum and replacing and dumping out the water each time it’s in use is soooo inconvenient. The bagless vacuums are very convenient but the constant dust is awful. Pros and cons, I guess. Turns out the decades past might have been on the right idea with the regular bagged and corded vacuums.
I had three Dyson machines. I was a loyal customer. Then, my MIL needed a lightweight vacuum so I researched a lot and found a Shark that was well rated and super lightweight. I went to her house and used it…went home, gave my Dysons away and got a Shark. It’s powerful and a workhorse. Reminds me of the metal Hoovers I grew up with.
We have a shark too, and it’s amazing. Doesn’t need bags, and the little thing just gets hung away in the coat closet on a hook. Had it for nearly 10 years and it still works wonders.
Always had sharks, but they always tended to lose suction power after a year or so. My Dyson has held up better over time and it has a docking station. Maybe the newer sharks are better, that would make sense.
@heritage.home.crochet I have had sharks for a long time, and as long as you do regular filter mai tenance and replace them as needed, never had a problem with suction.
I have been using Bissell for several years now and they’re great budget friendly products. I also love that they use a portion of their sales to help shelter animals.
$80.00 Bissell or $700.00 Dyson just to save an extra pass to get it all up? Hmmmm? Actually I own both and the Bissell fits into lots of places the huge Dyson can't and a fraction of the weight. I'm old as hell and that matters now. Big jobs, Dyson all the way.

I had a Dyson stick vacuum. I had to take it to get worked on when stuff would get stuck in it, as does happen with little kids around. I finallytold the repair shop to toss it. It had mold in it and was going to cost more to fix than I had paid for it. I bought a Samsung Jet 7 and haven't looked back. I can unclog that one myself.

I got my Dyson in 2004 and it still works like brand new. It's the only vacuum I've had in nearly 20 years. Prior to that my Hoovers, Bissells and eureka broke and needed replaced about every year.
Exactly I have a Newer Dyson got it 4 years ago. Before I was buying a vacuum probably every year and a half. I was cleaning them too trying to make them last longer. Edit: it’s actually been 7 years I thought I got it as a push gift with my 3rd child but it was actually after my 2nd..
A Dyson sounds pricey but you won't buy another vacuum for 20 plus yrs! Absolutely a great household investment. Pro-rated, I paid about 600 for mine that's about 30 dollars a year. I just looked it up, the price hasn't gone up on their vacuums in 20 years either! I kinked the hose on mine once, totally my fault. I had no warranty left so I called them to order another one, they sent it to me free. I could go on.
Old tech was better because it was just built to last. If your product broke, the word would spread and nobody wanted to buy it. That’s why they started inventing new stuff so people felt the urge to buy newer products. Vacuums now have anti hair tech and blameless ultra silent tech and whatever. But they break fast
As a disabled person, I don't have the energy to vacuum over a spot multiple times. I got a Dyson, and it's a game changer. It's super lightweight and is so fast and thorough. It's also rechargeable and has attachments that are easy to switch out. It is worth every penny.
Same here! 🙋🏻♀️ I was always having trouble vacuuming with our older vacuum cleaners, but my husband didn't want to expend so much money in a Dyson. After years of him always in charge of vacuuming I finally got my beloved Dyson and I can say I'm pretty happy to be able to do it myself (and to be able to say "I told you so"... 😂)
@SweetSallyRadio Heck yeah! I've owned/used so many different vacuum cleaners and totally fell in love with my Dyson. I feel like a walking commercial when I talk about how great it is. It's worth saving up for.
I have used Dyson, and I never felt it did any exceptional job. Just what other vaccuums do. And my hand hurt holding the dyson. And the battery dies in the middle of the job. It's annoying for all these things and also the high price.
I used to be a bissell user, then i found a brand new dyson at a rummage that they said was clogged somewhere they couldn't find. Gave em 10 bucks took it home, (dysons come apart super easy) took it apart had it declogged within 20 mins and it has ran perfectly for 6 years. I was buying a new bissell every 1.5 years so dysons are worth it imo
I totally agree. I've had both as well and yup had to replace the bissell after only about a couple of years. Dyson has been my longest lasting vacuum and still going strong.
@@_melnik__ As someone who owns both? False. Angle matters regardless. As for the time, watch and see how much of said time was used ACTUALLY vacuuming. The Bissell wasn't doing anything for the first few seconds as they got it stuck at first. Without counting those (and you were off by 2-3 seconds for the Dyson, I went over it again. It was longer than that.) Then they took a little more time with the Dyson.
I have had the same Dyson pet hair vacuum for over 25 years. Many cats later, it is still is keeping a black runner rug black, even with 6 white cats at one point. Dyson hands down worth every buck!!!
I had that one too. I gave it away because I don't need a vacuum cleaner anymore. It just keeps going. The best thing I've ever bought. I think it's 20 years old now.
Have had 3 dysons, constantly blocking up. Gave up and got a Shark, best vacuum we’ve ever owned. Deals with dog hair without any issue and has never blocked up!
Did you call Dyson they would replace or give you your money back. I don't understand what regular household carpet mess you could possibly be cleaning that could plug a vacuum. Do you let farm animals in your home? I'm very skeptical of how you could go through 3. I've had one for more than 20 years.
Agree with commenters who stated that for comparison to be fair it, vaccuums should be as close in features as possible. Even within the same family of vaccuums the results would be vastly different. Peraonally Ive had both and prefer Bissell even when can afford Dyson, so
@@michelemichaylo4843They could compare a good Bidwell with one of the comparably priced handheld Dysons, but then they couldn’t shamelessly plug Dyson
I bought a Dyson ball, the OG model for $350 9 years ago. Its works great. I was replacing the $100 and even $150 vacuums every other year. Replacing belts, replacing filters, taking them apart and cleaning them trying to keep them going. I only have to clean the Dyson filter, never replace it. It paid for itself in the first 4 years and has been free for the past 5.
The rotating tubes are of different textures and materials. The one on the left is a bristle cylinder, the one on the right is a spiral rubber lip. The bristles can be used on flat and smooth surfaces for the bristles act like velcro, while the rubber lip is better for carpets cuz it grabs the hair because of its texture & from the static coming from the rubber.
Idk my Shark vacuums have never let me down and I don't have to cut hair and fur out of the roller! Lol. But good on Bissell for donating to shelters!! ❤
I have a shark, it's meant to be good for pet hair and not get it all wrapped around the roller but it does!! I'm always sitting there with the scissors lol
I got rid of my shark because the insane amount of hair in the roller every time I would clean was driving me crazy. It is AWFUL! I have a Dyson now and its worth every penny.
My second hand Kirby was a ripper, even when the hose was broken inside the bag! A bit of tape and it was mostly right, if you didn't want a spotless bag housing!
The best vacuum I've ever owned was a Miele canister. I'll never own anything else. I got one and it pulled up stuff my Bissell and Dyson wouldn't touch. I didn't think my floors were dirty until I used the Miele.
Miele is amazing (they do ovens, etc. too) but the roller can’t handle long hair. My Miele was like $800 after tax and I have to cut my shoulder-length hair out of it every time (once a week) because it gets clogged and stops after one room.
According to Dyson, that vacuum runs off a 20-24v battery and you compared it to the Bissell 14.4v vacuum despite Bissell producing a 20v that's actually comparable. It even has the same form factor. When doing side by side product demonstrations, use the same tier of product or risk revealing your biases.
Exactly what I looked into, & also thought myself. Now as a reviewer…I can’t trust this person not to have biases, & potentially steer me the wrong way.
I switch from Bissell to Dyson in December 2006. I bought my dyson as a refurb for $600; I still have it. I had to buy a new bissell roughly 12 to 18 months. Spending anywhere from $100 to $140 each time over 20 years. The dyson only had minor break downs where I bought the parts and fixed myself.
I've had my Dyson for like 7 years and it's still amazing. They seem to be one of the few remaining companies not actively pursuing planned obsolescence. I'll always support Dyson for that in itself.
Yep! I bought a new battery on ebay and a new vacuum head through dyson. My old 2016 dyson was still going strong, but I ended up giving it my friend who's vacuum died and she couldn't afford a vacuum at the time. I bought a new v7 for 290Aud. I live in a 2 bed apartment so it's more than ample for my needs.
I bought 2 of the same Shark vacuum (300 dollars new) for $18 each at the thrift store. People donate them completely clogged with hair, thinking they're broken. Cleaned the 2 rollers in each, and they've both lasted over 6 years. Still work perfectly and use them to this day. People don't seem to realize that when you have a vacuum that picks up EVERYTHING. You have to clean it out more often.
i’m a housekeeper and the best advice i can give any homeowner is DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A DYSON CORDLESS VACUUM!!! if you have a small space then it’ll be fine, but the battery dies sooooo fast and it’s almost *too* light that it’s hard to get a thorough clean bc it moves so fast. now, if all of that sounds like something you can deal with then get it! but there are way cheaper brands like shark and bissell that work just as well!
I am a housekeeper too and I love dyson cordless vacuum! It last 25 mins charged, so you can do a bigger house too. Its the best vaccum I found for animal hair.
For those of you who havent spent 40 years cleaning houses professionally. Dyson is the apple of vacuums. Fancy looking, easy to use, and has the appearance of a good product. But they dont last, they are highly marked up, and you can get a better vaccuum from Shark for less.
Local repair center guy said it best when i asked what he would buy, he said "i'd buy Sebo, nobody ever brings those in to repair! not like Dysons" at which point he nods to a pile of Dysons stacked in the corner awaiting repair
I agree, my parents still use their SeboAirbelt from around 1996 whereas my household run thru several manufacturers including Dyson, Phillips,Rowenta and (newer) Vorwerk, besides that my dad is still using grandma's Vorwerk Kobold in the basement (late 80 s model).
Yup! Worked in an appliance warehouse. Dyson products the most returned due to issues. Could be because it's more popular but I think it's not as durable compared to other brands
Yeah but also you have to play the numbers game here, since Dyson sells more than most other brands by a long shot only up to very recently. So that would mean there would be 2-3 times as many dysons in hands of people than anything else. So of course you would repair those more often, so not saying they are amazing or anything but there is more to it than just a pile of dysons means they are junk or need repairs more.
Won't take more than 2-4 seconds to do a 3rd pass on the Bissell and get the same outcome. At the end of the day the Dyson is for showing off and some convenience. I love my V15 Sub but the mop sucks ass on it. I have to pull out the Bissell or the Old O Cedar to finish the job.
Yeah I see people complaining about the price, but as someone who grew up with cheap stuff, it’s more costly in the long run to replace such cheap products every now and then. I’m at a point in my life where I “buy for life”
Yup I said the same. I can't rem how many years I've had mine. But I've had it for so long and it's still just as good. I used to get bissell and I had to replace it fairly quickly. More money upfront, less money in the long run.
Dyson is a clear winner. We got a V10 at home, incredibly practical, easy to use and has great suction too. Best thing ever. If you care about animals, you can donate them yourself in the free time you have left after vacuuming the house with the Dyson as it will be over very quickly
As someone else in the comments pointed out, we tend to spend more over time by getting the cheaper models because they typically need to be replaced more often. Even with proper care and proper use, I've had 2 vacuums in the last 4 years.
@@de5072ah yes, so let me spend 3x as much so it can last just as long and not get replaced by the company. Dyson is unreliable and charges an arm and a leg, they used to be the kings now they are just a joke.
I thought the same until I got a Dyson for Christmas. If you clean and take care of it you still only need one pass 15 years later and counting. That Bissell will be replaced at least once in 10-15 years. So more money and more time cleaning isn’t worth it to me.
The comment compared a specific one to dyson, saying it’s the same in performance, so they tasted the vacuum that was mentioned. You’re a bit slow aren’t you?
After having a Dyson, I can’t go back. A great vacuum as well as air purifier & heater that has allowed for those who are allergic to pet hair have much more comfortable times being around my many cats 😆 I’m glad Bissell donates and there are many ways to show up for animals. Dyson might be the better option to recommend to anyone tempted into adopting who may be allergic.♥️
Best moment was when a Kirby guy came to the door and did his demo then compared it to my vacuum and my 1 year old vacuum did just as well as his new one. I told him no thank you.
As someone who has cleaned houses, those tiny Dyson’s are not worth it at all. If all you’re only wanting to use them for bath mats like this one, perfectly fine, but unless you have extremely low carpets they don’t work. You have to have them up on the highest suction power on carpeting and then they’ll overheat (atleast the one my client had) after a few minutes. I used them at another clients house and same thing, doesn’t hardly suck up everything on the floor, and it crapped out on me alot. It would just randomly stop working.
Bissell donated and paid for my kitten adoption and neutering as well and i got a welcome thankbyou packet with Science Diet cat food, coupons and cat toys 3 months ago here in Texas. Thank you Bissell
Oh wow 😮❤ How does it work ,Di they just randomly did it or you had to apply 🤔 or do they work with that certain shelter ? I don't think anything like this is done in Europe appart from occasional donations straight to charities and usually animals are skipped becausethey think people need it more ,its really kind for a brand to do this 🥲❤
I used to work at sears and I would use a dyson to suck up dust... Then I would use a Kenmore to pick up all the shit the Dyson left behind 😂. I got fired for not up selling instead of working our brand 😅
@@davidk5242 that's the most difficult thing you could imagine... That a 40 year old man worked at sears when he was young... Jesus. You've been lied to too many times. I hope your faith in humanity returns at some point.
I worked for Dyson. It's true. The vacuums do have super suction. I keep a Dyson on every level of the house. If I ever move to England. I'm going to ask for my old job back. Women in engineering rock!
This bissell looks like it's made not to pick up a lot.. My 7 year old bissell I purchased after using it in commercially would easily suck the life out that rug
Or buy a Shark for slightly more than a Bissel and get the same results as the Dyson. I used to be loyal to Bissell until my Bissell died (again) and a Shark was on sale for significantly less than the Bissell. I just needed something so I grabbed it. I thought my floors were clean, but the first pass with the Shark showed me just how poorly Bissell had been doing. I'll probably be a Shark person the rest of my life.
I totally agree, Shark all the way. I have the Navigator pet and it puts my mother's old Dyson to shame considering how bloody expensive it was when she bought it
I worked at a flooring store and what carpet companies don't tell you is they may decline your warranty claim if you use a dyson vacuum because of how strong they are. It can damage the fibers of many carpets. Unless it has an adjustable beater bar, what the means is using a vaccum that allows you to change the height of it to bare, low, medium, and high. The dysons do have great suction, but at what cost? The bank and your carpet.
A suckered is born every day. Buy quality instead and donate to the shelter yourself instead. We buy cat litter and donate directly since cats are mostly destroyed over dogs. We don't want money padding an execs pocket. We want to ensure it is used on animals sodonate what they need.
Why? Isn’t that kind of dumb? Just donate to the shelter yourself if you want. Why would you buy a mediocre product just because they say they donate to an animal shelter? Do you know how much they donate? Lots of companies do this simply to look good. They tell people they donate a portion of all purchases to blank fund, and if they do (some don’t at all, or the portion is super tiny) they’re using it as a tax write off anyway. So the money is still going back to them. They’re not doing anything out of the goodness of their heart, and they’re not giving up anything. They’re only doing it knowing that they won’t be out of pocket anything, and it makes people like you continue to buy their mediocre (or sometimes straight out crap) products. Buy the product you want, and donate to the charity you want yourself.
Dyson are excellent ADVERTISERS. That's it that's all. They have a DECENT product but it does not last. Blew the motor in my Dyson twice. Then purchased a Miele and am super happy with it. Bissell hands down wins my vote for sure. Love their work
I got my Dyson for free on the side of the road while walking my rescue pup. I’ll go with bissel for future purchases, cause the donations to animal shelters are incredible ❤️
Brissell 💯 for me. I just do a second pass, takes 3 seconds, and it's equally clean + I feel better knowing my purchase helped a shelter. I've worked in several shelters and there's always always always little stickers or tags on some of our enclosures from Brissell and that alone makes it worth it for me. Edit: besides, a second pass for the same result and half the price, not everyone can afford to buy the expensive product from a company that helps no one anyways
I LOVE my shark pet lift away, the anti hair wrap is also fantastic feature for me because I have very long hair and I also have a maine coon mix and a Norwegian forest cat maine coon mix so hair is a huge problem in this house lol the lift away is also great because I have mobility issues and it makes doing the stairs and the sofa so much easier. I had dysons for decades as did my family but they've gone a little downhill over the years. I'm getting the shark pet anti hair wrap cordless/stick vacuum next when I move into the bungalow and I can't wait!
I had a Dyson cordless in my 650 square foot condo, but it just did not work once I moved to my 1500 square foot house. You'd think I could just charge it up halfway through, but the battery decided to go and not run for more than 15 minutes shortly after I moved. I still wanted something compact, so I got a Shark corded stick, and it works BEAUTIFULLY! It is small enough to fit everywhere, has options for everything I need (hard floors, smooth area rugs, shag area rugs, furniture, pet hair, using it to dust ceiling fans, etc.!), and neatly fits in my pantry with a wall hanger for storage! The dust cup does fill quickly, but that's a minor issue that can be solved by emptying regularly!
Shark lift away are the best, I bought a fancy one last year and ended up giving it my Da as the older lift away was better. I'm sad enough to have used the new one and then go over with the old one 😂 I have a dyson that was relegated to hoovering the garden rugs ,shed and summer house.
I don’t know what kind of brand Bissell is, but it looks like a big Dustbuster. Bosch made a vacuum cleaner like the Dyson but to 1/4 of the price pretty good as well. The big magic in both of them is an old technology. It’s actually the vacuum cleaner before we had vacuum cleaners, a rotating brush.
This Bissell model is designed for carpets, you can Google that. The Dyson isn't worth the extra $150 tho. Again it's hard to tell which model the Dyson is since they all look exactly alike so it could very well be the $300+ option.
I find that most multi task appliances are just mediocre at everything. I would rather optimize for each task and get tools that work great for all each of my needs. Currently, I have an older Dyson handheld stick that I got from Costco on a great sale. For mopping, I found a cheap mop with machine washable pads and a trigger operated dispenser for cleaner is all I need 99% of the time, then once or twice a year I wash each of my hard floors with a bucket and a rag. However, I understand that everyone has different limitations and different styles of flooring and carpets. So, what works for me probably won't work for others. They are comparing these 2 because of the specific comment that they posted on the screen. This is a pretty good Bissell and it is handheld. So it is a pretty fair comparison if you have to choose a Bissell to put up against a Dyson.
I’ve owned 2 sharks, 2 Dysons and a bissel and Dyson blows shark out of the water in just about every measurable metric you can come up with. If you’ve used both extensively, it’s a no brainer 🤷♂️
Dyson is pricey but they last forever I’ve got one that is over 10 years. Customer service is amazing! I needed new screws for part of the head and couldn’t find them. They sent me replacements no charge.
I had issues with both my V7 and my V11 in the last 5 years. The hard part is waiting on parts. I need the bin for the V11 and it has been on back order for months and I was told it could be over a year. So I bought a cheap Costco Shark to hold me over. Except for the annoying cord, it actually picks up more than either Dyson.
@@phillipschristina2385 I can assure you that your 20 year old Dyson is a substantially better built product than those made today. It is pretty much true for most products. As many problems that I have had with my Dysons, they are still the best cordless vacuum for performance.
It's an older Bissell model tho too and there's never gonna be that much unless you have an intake vent somewhere that's left untouched forever. You're overspending for the power on a Dyson when you will have a vacuum that will be 5x cheaper and last 5x longer in most scenarios.
Nothing beats the Kirby classic. That was a vacuum cleaner with a head light! I remember my parents bought a beautiful great condition vintage kirby classic back in the 90s. Ha! Not true I just had a Kirby sales rep challenge my old Dyson DC7 and Dyson won the challenge again gest the new way more expensive Kirby. She turned red.
I bet my Sebo would kick Dyson butt. I had a Dyson, most overpriced, overrated POS I’ve used. Bought a Sebo for a little less and am in love with my vacuum. Literally a dream machine.
Shark vacuums are the best and worth every penny. Buy it once and take care of it. The only true heppa filtration and i have dust mite allergies. Also we own a Blk Lab/Border Collie, a 40 pound long haired cat, 2 short haired cats and 1 large dog staying here for 6mo temporarily. We have to vacuum at least twice a day. One pass gets every last hair, crumb and dust.
Did anyone besides me notice that they kept the Bissell upright making it seem harder to push but with the Dyson they leaned the handle back to it looked easier? That probably affected how well the vacuums worked.
I have found that Bissels are easy to disassemble to clean while Dysons are nuch harder. For that & the pet shelter donations I'm a loyal Bissel customer
The dyson is an investment for sure but i love its ease of use and the attachments. It's amazing how much dirt and dander it sucks up and that's essential for a pet household. 😅

Да, снимавший это видео явно старался показать Дайсон победителем.

She's a wonderful little girl, sweet natured and just beautiful. We're definitely a Bissell family. 😊❤
That's fkin beautiful story😢

Same thing here!!

Having to do one extra pass is worth saving an EXTRA $400 😂😂
Nah an extra pass each section every time takes precious time away plus it maybe more than one extra pass. Let’s not forget that the bissell breaks down quicker than the Dyson. I had both. The spot clean machine is good though from bissell
You could vacuum all day with a Bissell and never get what a Dyson does.
It's not an extra pass. The Bissell just won't get more. Buy what you can afford but you usually get what you pay for. Buy shark.
But you have to replace a Bissell every year or 2. Dyson will run for years.
Bissell: I donate to Animal shelters.
Dyson: screw that. I make airplane noises.

Also they use the cheapest most out of date bissel and the newest top of line dyson
$100 vs $500

Well the cheap vacuums probably just dont pick the super fine dust up because its packed in the carpet
This may be true, i just dont enjoy paying the ridiculous price for something im constantly disassembling to clean all the internals. For those of you who havent spent 40 years cleaning houses professionally. Dyson is the apple of vacuums. Fancy looking, easy to use, and has the appearance of a good product. But they dont last, they are highly marked up, and you can get a better vaccuum from Shark for less.

i still have the XP2. its loud, but still works. sometimes the lift motor is dead, . i think its a bit outdated now...

If you tasted that many vacuums you’d be slow, too.
They even used the wrong attachment for dyson and it still cleaned better. 😂 It's really top notch! ♥
A Dyson fan all the way. Love their products, customer service, and the longevity of the product.
After having a Dyson, I can’t go back. A great vacuum as well as air purifier & heater that has allowed for those who are allergic to pet hair have much more comfortable times being around my many cats 😆
I’m glad Bissell donates and there are many ways to show up for animals. Dyson might be the better option to recommend to anyone tempted into adopting who may be allergic.♥️
Didn’t know this! I’d like pets someday but I’m allergic so this could be one way to aid in my aim for that. Thanks!
Best moment was when a Kirby guy came to the door and did his demo then compared it to my vacuum and my 1 year old vacuum did just as well as his new one. I told him no thank you.
Yeah if you have the money of course. Not everyone has 500 dollars to toss toward a vacuum cleaner though lmao
@@carsonroyal7948 Hence the review my dude! People have to know it's worth the cost if they have the money saved up and are tempted!
My Dyson Animal didn't make it to 13 months. I won't waste my money again. I would love to have my dad's old Electrolux, but I'll settle for my Shark.
I don't think anything like this is done in Europe appart from occasional donations straight to charities and usually animals are skipped becausethey think people need it more ,its really kind for a brand to do this 🥲❤
Dyson truly make the best vacuums ,have 1 never disappointed with results🎉❤
I used to work at sears and I would use a dyson to suck up dust... Then I would use a Kenmore to pick up all the shit the Dyson left behind 😂. I got fired for not up selling instead of working our brand 😅
Sure Jan
Kenmore is indeed where it’s at!
@@davidk5242 that's the most difficult thing you could imagine... That a 40 year old man worked at sears when he was young... Jesus. You've been lied to too many times. I hope your faith in humanity returns at some point.
Says the person that worked for Sears
@@ronray4294what? People throwing jabs here for nothing 😂
These two vacuums aren’t even comparable. 😂
I worked for Dyson. It's true. The vacuums do have super suction. I keep a Dyson on every level of the house. If I ever move to England. I'm going to ask for my old job back. Women in engineering rock!
I have a Dyson ball and love it. In addition getting all the dirt, It's easy to completely disassemble and clean.
Old Bissell vs new Dyson. Great comparison
EXACTLY
and that Bissell (I have one too) is really small... this is not a good comparison.
I have the Navigator pet and it puts my mother's old Dyson to shame considering how bloody expensive it was when she bought it
Shark is better than Bissel for sure but NOT even close to a Dyson. My Shark just died after 1.5 years. They are not equal trust me.
YEEEEEEESSSSSS, shark is the best
Iv had my shark for 4 Yeats now, and it works awesome! I owned a large dog for years, and the shark was the best for pet hair
💯% shark!!
Never forgetting account for the quality of carpet, you get what you pay for there too 🤷♀️
Henry...”hold my beer”
My $98 shark vacuum picks up better than my $400 Dyson! I'll never spend that much money again for a name...
I miss my shark!
I love my purple shark and the robot helps a ton
Sharks are great! I especially love my steam cleaner for my tile floors.
I ❤ my Shark. Excellent pickup for much less $$ than Dyson.
Liar lmao
For the cost and MOSTLY because they donate to animal shelters, I support Bissell 💯💯
I think it’s kinda dumb to pay that much for a vacuum lol to each their own I guess.
I do donate to our animal shelter❤️
Dyson are excellent ADVERTISERS. That's it that's all. They have a DECENT product but it does not last. Blew the motor in my Dyson twice. Then purchased a Miele and am super happy with it.
Bissell hands down wins my vote for sure. Love their work
I've replaced 2 Bissells with 1 Dyson, going on 11 years old and still going. Dyson allows more service on their products to allow it to go longer.
I got my Dyson for free on the side of the road while walking my rescue pup. I’ll go with bissel for future purchases, cause the donations to animal shelters are incredible ❤️
1am in the morning and I am watching this. My wife always tells me that I am an exciting guy
Same here, 1 am! 😂
12.15 here so I’ve got a bit more watching to do
02:30 here
12.30 here, and my dog is annoyed 😅
12:27 here 😂
Brissell 💯 for me.
Why you call it brissell
So true tho.
What is Brissell
Looks like the tip and trick is to go forward and back on the same spot to really get it all no matter what vacuum you buy
I had two Dyson. Recently purchased the Shark lift away pet vacuum. Picks up way better than the Dyson.
I love my Shark!
the bissell pet lift is my go to vacuum and nothing sucks like that thing. it's incredible
Imagine the president of both headquarters watching these in their office
It's 1 am and I'm watching this instead of sleeping 😂 I have a problem
Damn, 1:09 as I'm watching..😂
I'm watching this at 3:15 am and I have work todayy😢😂
Almost there : 12:50…
Same.
1:07 😂😭💀
I had bissells for years. Got my Dyson v6 animal. Life changing.
Literally, life changing
Trivia: Anna Bissell became the first female CEO in America after her husband passed. I believe he died shortly after the company was formed.
No one cares
I’ve had my dyson vacuum for the past 5 years and I wouldn’t want to miss it. Best vacuum I’ve ever had
Which kind?
I still have and use weekly their dc14 with the original syclone technology. Its yellow and grey color. That thing is old
Just Googled when the dc14 came out and it was 04 so dang, I've had it going on 20 years! Holy shit!
@@mitchdenner9743 that’s awesome! I think it’s their little stick vacuums that aren’t good
I don’t know what kind of brand Bissell is, but it looks like a big Dustbuster. Bosch made a vacuum cleaner like the Dyson but to 1/4 of the price pretty good as well. The big magic in both of them is an old technology. It’s actually the vacuum cleaner before we had vacuum cleaners, a rotating brush.
Using a Bissell made to vacuum and wash floors against a Dyson made to vacuum carpets is an unfair test .
And where do you see that this Bissell is equipped to wash floors?
This is not the mopping model.
It's not the mopping model, but it's still not the same thing as the one it was compared to. This is a dust buster model.
SHARK! All the way. Best vacuum. Hands down.
I’ve owned 2 sharks, 2 Dysons and a bissel and Dyson blows shark out of the water in just about every measurable metric you can come up with. If you’ve used both extensively, it’s a no brainer 🤷♂️
@@dalec4864 👍
Dyson is pricey but they last forever I’ve got one that is over 10 years. Customer service is amazing! I needed new screws for part of the head and couldn’t find them. They sent me replacements no charge.
I had issues with both my V7 and my V11 in the last 5 years. The hard part is waiting on parts. I need the bin for the V11 and it has been on back order for months and I was told it could be over a year. So I bought a cheap Costco Shark to hold me over. Except for the annoying cord, it actually picks up more than either Dyson.
I gave my daughter one of my Dyson s. It’s over 20 years old and still going strong
@@phillipschristina2385 I can assure you that your 20 year old Dyson is a substantially better built product than those made today. It is pretty much true for most products. As many problems that I have had with my Dysons, they are still the best cordless vacuum for performance.
Which dyson do you own?
I want a new Dyson but my old one won’t break so I can’t justify it 😂
It's an older Bissell model tho too and there's never gonna be that much unless you have an intake vent somewhere that's left untouched forever.
I remember bc it was my chore to vacuum. 😅
Update:
The great debate over vacuums! Love it!
I currently don't own a vacuum. 🤣🤣 I have hard wood floors and beautiful tiles 😄. I'm happy you people love your vacuums whatever the brand 🤣🤣. It's not that serious 😆😁
Ha! Not true I just had a Kirby sales rep challenge my old Dyson DC7 and Dyson won the challenge again gest the new way more expensive Kirby. She turned red.
@@HRTsAFyre that's great. In my house it was the Kirby.
I remember my grandma's vintage Kirby . I swear it weighed as much as I did!
My family had a vintage Royal, which I loved growing up, because it looked like Kirby from The Brave Little Toaster. That was a good vacuum.
But the mat would have got caught in the shark. I live my shark for my hard floors but I can’t run it over my mats
Did anyone besides me notice that they kept the Bissell upright making it seem harder to push but with the Dyson they leaned the handle back to it looked easier? That probably affected how well the vacuums worked.
might also be the length of the bissell handle vs the length of the dyson
Nah, Dyson still beats them, you get what you pay for
No she was in the same spot holding the handle for both. Only thing you could blame is a poor design by Bissell
Yes that's exactly what I saw...wtf
And there was more hair on the Bissell side.
“They” don’t donate to animal charity with every purchase! YOU do. “They” just charge you extra.
Kirby vacuums are the workhorse that doesn’t quit. I bought mine over 30 years ago. I’ve bought electric brooms for small jobs but love my Kirby!!😊
I was wondering who was going to mention Kirby! That's the most powerful vacuum I've ever seen. The shampooer works magic as well!
@@13lilsykosand you get a full upper body workout with every pass too 😂
@@gusterccright! Especially if you don’t put it in drive 😂. We actually got a 2nd one so we don’t have to lug it up and down the stairs 😩

ME TOO. I LOVE MY CANISTER AND UPRIGHT. GREAT JOBS AND A GREAT INVESTMENT! But, ALSO VERY HEAVY AND HARD TO DO CARPETS!!!!!
My parents still have their Rainbow vacuum that has a big ol water tank lol things loud af but works like a charm
Don't compare a 20+volt dyson to a 14.4volt bissel.
Good call
