Such a cool car, I have a few of these kits in older versions, would like to pick this one up to build. Nice wire job, look's fantastic! That's one area I struggle with! Good looking build!

Very nice build, looks great! My first car was a white 67 Fairlane, so I definitely have a soft spot for the Fairlanes!

This is the first time I was looking at your channel. I to was in the U.S Marine Corps. Semper Fi devil dog. I was a 0341 mortar man. I guess you were in Motor T. You guys used to take us to the field. I was in from 1982 to 1990. We could swap stories bro. Anyway great model. I build them as well. I am building a 1965 Nova gasser. Just a lot of fun to do. Take care man

Very nice build man! Been looking at getting that kit. Thanks for the detailed look at it as well. I have noticed most of those I've seen built up have the same front tire issue so it's definitely not anything you did for sure. Keep it up and looking forward to the next one!

I enjoyed the video and it looks great. Funny about the wheels looking off in the wheel well's. 🤔 The interior look great. All in all a great build!
I have one of these I got off of eBay for $15 + $6 as a open kit. It is all there. I have 2 AMT 66 Ford Fairlane's GT/GTA that I have started and videos uploaded and they both have the same engine issue.
There both older kit's than yours, so still could be the same mold I'm guessing. I'm making mine convertibles. One is a Junkyard off of eBay for a test and it is going to be a complete car when I'm done. Lol

I have a couple of these kits in my stash yet haven't built them yet. I did pull up some picks online of a real 427 Fairlane and the instructions of AMT kits off Public Fotki (too lazy to dig thru the stash 😁). I kinda see the issue you're having with the hoses?
On a few other kits I've built where the hose(s) were an issue or they've lacked hose detail. I have used rubber tubing with an internal pliable wire or just used the wire as a peg drilled and glued where needed as a mount for the tubing.
If there is an elbow, like a T-stat housing, I used a piece of sprue (keep the scraps!).
I picked up the rubber hose and wire at Hob Lob in the jewelry section(?),,, it's been a while.

@@blkftThanks for the reply. I just today cut that bottom hose off and I will make a new one as well because the Junk kit did not have a upper hose and I have to make one anyway... Lol I bought some .05mm shrink tubing and 30 gauge solid wire for sparkplug wires and I got some .02/3mm to use as hose and put solder in it of I just use solder painted... Lol Awesome information! 👍
I always save the sprue, I make all kinds of stuff out of them. I do scratch building and it works great for bracing to reinforce and glue to on inside corners where you will never see it. I just made a engine stand and most of a floor stand/grinder with it. The best part it is free, kinda... Lol
