    Zadok Ben David
    Curator: Yael Guilat
    19.6.24 - 18.9.24
The first ever joint exhibition of Moshe and Zadok Ben David invites the viewer to observe and discover the tender cords, sometimes invisible, that stretch between the two of them, an inter-generational, trans-generational dialogue.
The exhibition’s title “Genetic Memory” serves as a space for encounters between different places and different times, personal, familial as well as collective-cultural ones.
The exhibition displays sculptures, etchings and a video-installation by Zadok Ben David, two of which have been created especially for the present show, and works by Moshe Ben David which include jewelry and exceptional Judaica objects.
The works evolved from different worlds of content, diversified techniques, sizes and working habits, yet they tell a mutual story from a viewpoint that attempts to contain the details within the whole and bridge between them.
Theirs is a sensitive overview at the creation of former generations whether in traditional silversmithing or in Western art and also at the surrounding nature providing a formal pattern which is the sum total of changes and repetitions.
The exhibition carries the seal of love connecting the father to his son and the Ben David family as a working unit made up of different individuals who create a whole in which the functions of containing-contained mutually inter-change.
