Thanks for watchin!

I'm generally new to AE, and I needed this. I've been losing my mind with file management, and equally so with all the clicking to get to a layer's stroke properties.
the layer snapping tip is HUGE. this would've saved me so much time over the years. oh my god.
sameeee - i wish i found it a long time ago!
I only move layers that way
I knew all of those but i watched till the end because u funny af
Holy shit balls - "duration between keyframes" 🤯 Had no idea. Game changer 👍
big time!
@@ChrisZachary0 Worked with AE near enough every day for the last 5 years and never knew! Great tips Chris, and thanks for the reply 🙌
Yeah, man these tips are AWESOME! Although I did get a little confused with duration between keyframes. Turns out you have to alt-click on *each* keyframe. I was thinking you only had to do it for the second keyframe. But I figured it out!
@@BrentMetcalf1 Thanks! That one did come across a little confusing, thanks for clarifying! Glad you figured it out 💪
Duration between keyframes, I never knew! Thanks!
right?!
Didn't know about that parent PSR snap, thanks man!!
You bet!
Thank you Chris!
Really good video, actually learned some really handy things from this, thanks!
just discovered your channel, and i looove it bro! thx alot for all the great tips
This was so amazing and useful
Thank you so much dude
Been using AE for close to a decade and I learned some new tips today. You sir got yourself a sub. Keep cranking out the content
Glad to hear that!!
Thanks for these cool tips! I found a few really useful!
Another really helpful tip I WISH I knew 5 years ago is when you want to replace a layer in a comp with another one:
1. click on the layer in the comp you want to replace
2. Alt+click and drag the layer over the selected layer and drop it
3. This replaces the layer and retains all the keyframes.
I hope this makes sense
YES! That's actually one of the tips in the video I'm working on right now :)
Really cool tips, thanks bro.
you got it dude 💪🏼
Thank You very much!
Thank you!
amazing thank you
this is life changing!
Awesome!
What a great video !
Awesome video! Thank you! May the algorithm Gods bless you
Thanks for the tips! Ver helpful. Also: you are getting better at this vlogging/sharing thing, fun to watch.
haha thank you! That means a lot - glad to hear it's getting less painful to watch
Thanks Chris - really usefully stuff here.
you got it!
Such awesome stuff-- now I gotta go back to AE and try fruitlessly to remember these. :D
haha I feel that! the added benefit of the crazy hours of making this... it forces me to remember the tips
Your pick whip reveal has changed my Ae life. lol
good!
Great video, definitely make more :D I always found it annoying you couldn't colour pick outside of AE, I would just find the hex code and enter it manually... it's so annoying.
i always had to find the hex code or import the image.... so much time saved this way!
Thanks and love your video and all but
8:10 layer snapping does not make that click sound 😑😑 that your are shown
unfortunately it doesn't 😔
gotta resort to making your own sound effects for that satisfying snap
@@ChrisZachary0 after effects's timeline and layering need some short of update. They are boring as hack
I hit enter (return on MacBook) and it still picked out a different color. Any help would be nice! :D
uh oh haha. was that a one time thing or has it not worked at all for you?
@@ChrisZachary0 it’s not working at all. In fact, every time I hit return (hovered over the same space) a different color appears 🥲
It does seem to work on my pc.
