Tested the DJI OSMO ACTION in some cold, snowy and windy conditions to compare it to the GoPro Hero 7 Black. Stayed in an MSR Hubba Hubba NX tent with my dog, Bruce.
The Corporal's recommendation was pure gold. Thank you for taking us along the track. Blessed to have been able to visit both islands. Magnificent country is what y'all have down there.
I am listening to thunder watching your awesome video Tony. I so enjoy them and love watching what you will be cooking and watching Brucey. I love his night light 😂
Nice recovery and doing it right this time............ the last trip up there looked kind of miserable. I liked the way you secured everything to your pack so carefully. I can see where a person could be in bad shape in a emergency, especially if they found that they lost a key part of their gear.
So glad I found you by accident. Now I fall asleep to your videos at night. Makes me feel like I'm camping with you. Give a shout out to Adam in Florida some day. I'm a big fan
Wow it makes a big difference. It’s brighter and your clearer. Yes, your looking good.. Bruce is looking good, too. Good night. I think Bruce wants to go out running. It was fun going along. Nice camera, you’ll get use to it in no time. You both have a safe trip back. See you next time.🌺🦋🌺
I look funny while lokking at your video. You ask question and my head go up and down or i answer with words. And my monty look at me and my husband is asking what because he slept. Love your videoes
I had a relaxing day watching 2 of your videos today. It amazes me you go out into the snow, just because you want to. Take care out there. How does Bruce remember all the paths home. Smart dog... Hugs to Bruce. Seeya next time.
Great video and test🤗 Do you know how this compare to the 8 & 9? I have the session 5,and haven't tested it extensively but after filming in the cold it shut off when I transferred files indoors afterwards.
Hi, I hope you both don’t get snowed in. It is beautiful up there. By the time you both make it to the top, you’ll both be tired and hungry. Then time for a good cigar and cold beer. You always seem to get set up in the nick of time. Your coming in loud and clear. Looks kind of windy there. If that’s not a three season tent, will it keep you both warm enough.
@@ABCampingTony Well, the snow was a little deep and I thought... poor Bruce. But he seemed to like it after he rested up. It’s going to take me awhile to check all your videos out. I also watch Luke and Susie a lot. There fun too. I guess their going on a trip together, I think they just put some on last night. He’s a lot like you, he loves the rain. But he doesn’t have a pretty dog like Brucie. How often do you put a video on? Ok have a great weekend.🌺🦋🌺
New sub. Great vids mate, lot a love from the uk. Esp the 1hr+ vids, worse the weather the better :). Two questions I have if that's ok - roughly where in NZ are you in this vid? Love to google map it. And also, what are your thoughts to not having potential predators around? Or are there?
Hi Tony, I let CZcams know that all my favorites except yours let me know when content drops, and also live feeds. Haven't heard anything back. Be well. Much better quality video with new camera.
Hi Can I ask you for the battery life? I'm from hot country, but I'm going out to Himalayas area next month. How do these camera hold the battery life in the cold weather? I have GP7 with 4 batteries and OA with 2 batteries. Is this enough? Please don't hesitate if you have any tips on that. Thank you very much. Anyway, subscribed already. Glad to know your channel.
The GP7 was awful in the cold. It just won’t work unless you keep it in your pocket the whole time. In the cold I got about 30 minutes out of one battery. The osmo goes down to -10 c though and that battery lasted an hour.
I have GoPro HERO 7 Black as well and I can attest to that. Go Pros are awful in cold in general. Never trust them in winter. I'm seeing Osmo Action gets lots of praises for its performance in cold weather so i'd definitely go with Osmo if you're mainly into winter mountaineering and climbing. So many times my GoPro Hero 7 Black failed on me in temperatures below 10 degrees. It freezes the in the middle of recording and refuses to turn on & turn off etc... I lost so much great footage because of that... Very glitchy. Stay away please.
funny i stumbled on this after being tempted to toss my Gopro 7 black in the trash,im in Eastern canada and normal cold is minus 20 cels to minus 35 cels,Gopro freezes solid at 0cels,useless for me,i fly DJI drones and thought id try the osmo action, was hoping to see bit colder temps in this video, looks to be close to plus 5 cels or so.Great job though, except at 1:12 mins, looks like stabilization was off. Thanks for this vid
In this video you make me want to leap on you & the kiss you all over ! However you have a strict tone & it puts me off you . But don’t let that harm you I’m thick skinned also, I could go anywhere..
Bruce really lives the life. 🙂

Bruce is smart. He knew the way there and back. Thanks for the video.

Love your videoes
Coming back and watching first videos. Great to see you starting out. Lol think these are the only videos without rain. Well done Tony!
Minnesota loves you 💖
I loved your most informative video.
Another excellent video. Many many thanks for taking the time to film these. A real find. The new camera is working very well!

PAWS!!! I love paws!!
Love your videos! I watch them to wind down at night here in Chicago,
The slow-mo look great
@ mark Holbrook. Mark, snowshoes are built so that the left and right are identical. The harness usually has a right and left.
A very beautiful trip and useful information. Please tell me what kind of camera it is and how much it costs.
Thanks for camera info. Checking on that osmo camera
Wow that's great with rock steady off
Enjoy your videos
Love the snow but not the wind chill as it makes that we couldn't hear your voice, but the camera is good, Keep warm keep safe.

I think all gopros die in the cold. Even their website says the operations temp is above zero c.

I try to put a video once or twice a week BUT I'm going away for a week so no new vids for a couple of weeks.
@@ABCampingTony ok, you have a great time. 🦅 🦌
@@ABCampingTony It’s going to be a long two weeks. Have fun and take care.🦅🦌🦅
What are the orange triangles posted on the trees for?
We can hear you great inside the tent so no problem there

Nope
Can you do some hunting next time, great videos and gear reviews though
Hunting coming up soon. Watch this space.
@@ABCampingTony good stuff mate thar please
🙂
Why doesn’t Brucie live in the house with you and your wife, Ann? He is so sweet and loving! He would be a positive addition to your home!
He does now. That video is old.
It would be awful to get diarrhea while in a tent.
