That is seriously sick, Sean! I still have a "knucklehead" idea....PRS style guitar, black limba body, purpleheart stripe, quilted maple top dyed red then sanded back with teal over, black limba neck with purpleheart fretboard....
You can sand back the middle to help accentuate a sunburst vibe, if that's your thing.

Can I get a guitar kit from you scar my guitar , I’ve been learning to play I’m a late learner I’ve been at it for about 6 months every day at least 1hr or more , and I’m getting better everyday , im a recovering addict and well it’s like therapy for me to play , I was going to get a kit from Amazon but saw your video and I would rather buy from you and support your cause than an already millionaire company, so wht you say y you sell me one like that blue one

I like your videos and you’ve given me the courage to get some of your recommended tools and try it myself. When they’re available I want to get one of your kits. But I need one left handed. I’m not proud to admit it but I’m one of those kind of guys. But enough of my lip flap pin’.

Sanding back brings out a greater difference in the grain.

I worked in cabinetry. It absolutely does the grain will hold the stain more and appear richer. Try it on a sample piece of maple and compare the two.
I keep hearing that a neck needs to be sealed (nitro or poly) otherwise it'll keep moving with changes in temp/humidity.
But I've always thought an oil finish would be nice.
can you do one with a 7/8 nut? what im used to have trouble with the small necked(nuts).

And I in turn hate to call you out, see you misunderstood...I never said they are the biggest you can get. I said the frets on the neck are medium jumbo and the highest in that gauge. Frets are also gauged by height. 10:18 ---Nor do the gauges start at medium jumbo or end at extra jumbo lol but I still love ya!!

The new kits are gonna be $399.00 They will come with Seymour Duncans (JB and 59) and Genuine Grover tuners. Maybe 10 days and they won't last. Thanks for asking.
That’s some awesome gear man - that colour is amazing. Is the Tung oil all you need to seal it, or would you use a different topcoat as well for durability?

I bought the acoustic that Dan made a couple months ago. Love everything about it. He thought it was junk and was gonna trash it. I'm glad he responded when I offered to buy it. Dude only charged me 200 bucks. Worth every penny and then some. My only gripe is he didn't hand number it 1 of 1 and sign it. First world problems. 😂😂
