Production Plan of Sesame TH-6-2023-How to Avoid Charcoal Rot |Cyber Agri Extension|

Land Preparation:
- Plow the field to a depth of 15-20 cm to loosen the soil
- Level the field to ensure even irrigation and drainage
Fertilizer Application:
- Apply 1 bag of DAP (Diammonium Phosphate) fertilizer at sowing time
- Apply 02 Kg of Sulphur as a soil amendment to improve soil health
Pest Management:
- Apply 02 bottles of 480 ml Fipronil insecticide to control pests like aphids, whiteflies, and stem borers
Disease Management:
- Apply 01 Kg of Copper oxychloride fungicide to control diseases like powdery mildew and leaf spot
Seed Sowing:
- Sow 02 Kg of sesame seeds at a depth of 2 cm by broadcast Method.
Irrigation and Water Management:
- Irrigate the field immediately after sowing and keep the soil consistently moist during the first few weeks
- Gradually reduce irrigation frequency as the crop grows
Other Practices:
- Keep the field weed-free through regular hoeing and hand-weeding
- Monitor the crop regularly for pests and diseases and take action as needed
