The Voice is 100% Colleen. We use no computer generated content. I am very happy with the way people are reacting to the VRX1. A lot of thought and technology went into this and I hope people like the result.
Always cool to hear from Glenn. Thanks!
I love watching him demo the products.
Glenn perfectly described me, I'm the target IFB user for this and I LOVE it! I can finally slowly swap out all my Comteks with this, then eventually get the Zax TX without hurting my wallet. Before this, the URX was the natural upgrade, but I was holding off because I didn't want a giant expensive CL5 in my bag (that also requires a seperate filter) before being able to use it. I know there's workarounds, like using other Zax TXs but I still don't like handing out a bunch of $$1000 URXs to Video Village where they abuse these. Just put my order in!
Great move Zaxcom - I will be in touch regarding frequencies. From a VHF and ancient Comtek user in the UK.
What is the belt clip arrangement? I’m guessing wire clip and then third party options? Will a clippy pouch be available? Someone should do a range test compared to a standard comtek.
Current belt clip option is a spring clip: www.gothamsound.com/product/erxvrx-belt-clip
I've been wondering who was going to be the first manufacturer to tackle the odd hold that Comtek has on the IFB market. Right now, a PR-216 is $425, the VRX1 will be $495 with a great set of features. Bit of a no-brainer if you're looking to buy a new model. Looking forward to seeing what their VHF TX will be capable of.
Software Defined Radio, we're seeing the tip of the iceberg.
I really hope that robot voice is actually Colleen
