Bougainvillea Spectablis Yamadori Bonsai

Bougainvillea has to be one of the most stunning varieties of flowering plant. Very suitable for cultivation as indoor bonsai. Keep very dry over winter and the plant will go dormant which imporves flowering in summer. Begin to water and feed well in March and you will be rewarded with stunning flowers on the ends of new growth. Keep at a minimum of 5 Celsius in winter. Prefers to be outside in full sun in summer or in a bright greenhouse or conservatory. Otherwise treat like any other house plant or indoor bonsai. Bougainvillea are happy outdoors for most of the time but they need to be protected from frost. These plants like a LOT of bright light and a lot of fertilizer when in growth. Only ever re-pot during periods of active growth.
