Hi peeps! Hope you enjoyed Lucknow food series 😊 Thank you for correcting me on Imarti rabdi. I get to learn so much from you guys.. For people saying I should have done my research, I had not read about Imarti rabdi and went ahead with what the staff there told me. It’s a part of exploring, making mistakes and learning for me. ❤ But I’ll be careful next time 😅
Try sweets at Ram Asrey Chowk, the old outlet. It's definitely an outlet not to be missed while in lucknow

Ok, at 18:14, you mentioned that you have never had mutton and papaya together. But if you actually see, raw papaya is nothing but galawat that is added to mutton to make it tender. raw papaya is added to mutton mince to make gelaouti kebab.. so you see aapne Tundey me gelaouti kebab khaaye hain 1-2 days before..
You can also visit shops in Tulsi lane to try variety of kababs like Majlisi, Pasanda, Kakori, Shaami, galaouti, etc

There is a lot of difference between Imarti and Jalebi, right from ingredients , size and appearance.
Overall a nice Part 3 covering the remaining well known food joints in Lucknow 👍
Shami ( Pronounced shaaami not shumi) kebabs at Sakhawat are one of the best. The prominent flavour is of Black cardamom.
Pandit ji ki Thandai or Raja ki Thandai, both have lost their charm after the death of their founders.

You should go to Kanpur, it's near to Lucknow...there is so much famous dishes...banarasi chaat, Tiwari ji ki Lassi, munna Samosa and Khasta, Thagoo ke ladoo and Kulfi, malai makkhan which will you get in winter time, jalebi dahi, so many good restaurants in swaroop nagar, birhana road and mall road, and so many good sweet shop
I'll definitely go to Kanpur the next time I am in UP

Hey Pooja! Thank you for covering my city and I must say you did a fairly good job. I would like to point out one thing though - imarti and jalebi are different from each other. I noticed you were calling imarti as jalebi which is incorrect.
"The Basic difference between Jalebi and Imarti is that Imarti is made out of Urad Daal whereas Jalebi is made of refined flour or Maida. The difference of this core ingredient makes both products fall in different categories. Some Imarti lovers insist that Imarti is a healthier alternative to Jalebi, because of it being made with Urad Daal instead of Maida. The batter of Imarti also requires 1/4 or 1/5 portion to Daal of Rice Flour." (source Map of India)
