Iconic Malang Bacha khan stood for rights of common man and earned right of vote for people in 1935. He would fast for six/!seven months an year and established 133 schools by selling/ mortgaging his over 2000 jireebs of agriculture land. After great khushal khattak Baba, Bacha khan was the second non traditionalist humanist who promoted egalitarianism by making poor pakhtuns as head of khudai khidmatgar movement. When Qayuum govt massacred 600 pakhtuns, he sold his 80 jireeb land for their funeral while he was behind the bars. He was for peace. Edhi Sb said he started welfare work on Bacha khan direction. Maulana Maududi loved him bcs he was a true human. I m fortunate to hv seen that legend as a school student . Passionate, calm, simple and lustless he was. Bibi, trust me ,by glorifying Bacha khan and Ghani khan, you will rise and shine. They were mystics. Stay blessed. Regards. Asar Ahmadzay

@@Its.Rijakhanplease allow me to add more into it.
Bacha Khan was a confused person. After read his unclear political objectives, in my humble opinion, Bacha Khan's political journey does raise questions and skepticism. It's unclear whether his true objective was a "joint India" or the creation of "Loy Pukhtunistan." When he got aligned with Nehru Ji and Gandhi Ji of Congress and start taking funds from Congress party. One might wonder if he believed that a Hindu-majority government led by figures like Nehru and Gandhi would support the idea of splitting "Joint India" for the sake of Pukhtunistan for Mr. Ghaffar Khan? 🤔 It's possible that he lacked a concrete plan in this regard.
On the other hand, Nehru and Gandhi's alignment with Bacha Khan could have been a strategic move to gain influence in the north-western region for the Congress party agenda, with the intention of potentially sidelining him once their vision of a "Joint India" became a reality. The complexities of Bacha Khan's political philosophy and his alliance with the Nehru and Gandhi ji, rather "a political flirt" leave room for critical examination and analysis. What did he really wanted and what did he gain from that totally unholy alliance with Nehru ji and Gandhi ji of congress party asking for vote for "Joint India" and later as soon lost the idea of "undivided India", he takes 180 turn and start a nationalist movement for "Loy Pukhtunistan" or "divided India" hmm ? Indeed, Bacha Khan's aimless political journey and his alliance with Nehru and Gandhi raise several critical questions. It's perplexing to discern his true intentions and except getting funds for "undivided India" slogans, what he really gained from this unholy partnership with Congress Party? Initially advocating for a "Joint India" and as soon lost the idea later shifting towards a nationalist movement for "Loy Pukhtunistan" or "divided India" does warrant scrutiny.
We see similar case in Jammu and Kashmir when Sheikh Abdullah and Kashmiri leader Mr. Mufti thought the same. Drawing parallels with leaders like Kashmiri nationalist leaders Sheikh Abdullah and Mr. Mufti in Jammu and Kashmir, one must reflect on the fate of nationalist movements within the context of the "undivided India" envisioned by the Patel, Nehru and Gandhi. Back in days these Kashmiri nationalist leaders laterally aligned themselves with the Congress agenda, receiving substantial support and funds but the current status of Kashmir and its place within the Indian Constitution remains a subject of debate and contention. There is no place for them in Indian Constitution anymore.
Bacha Khan's complex political choices rather zero political thinking and the outcomes of such alliances highlight the same intricate nature of Indian politics during that era.
May he rest in peace, leaving us with a legacy that continues to provoke critical examination and analysis.

@@appleoranges9772 we agree to disagree . I respect your valued views , yet the content seems to be outcome of horrid romance of neophyte readership and unscholarly school/ college history books. In fact , Bacha Khan personally, human service and political thoughts hv been subjected to almost 100 research works by academicians ranging from thesis papers to MPhils and Ph. Ds so far and except for one observation ( which even acknowledged by the legendary humanist) of trusting congress on eve of partition ,rest all hv admitted based on evidence that Bacha Khan services are not only innumerable, rather are matchless. Many those who hv done scholarly work on him firmly believe that geography in fact played major role in sufferings of many a nation , as put in words of father of iconic cricketer ," Bacha Khan was hit more by geography than by history" . Pakhtuns a v traditionalist nationality follow religion, not Deen , so ferociously that even Arabs dnt find chord with. Mullaism and epistemological orientations , coupled with hegemonic policy by west added to shamanic upsurge and here is Great game , there is new great game nurtured hubbub wherein none could be heard audibly. Despite social and religious bottlenecks , Bacha Khan was successful in spreading education, establishing newspaper, theatre and above he struck at the heart of traditional mindset enabling thereby a nationality to adapt resilience in face of a turmoil, imposed for the past 50 years on our people. His teachings and actions show him as a paragon of nonviolence and progress. Having said all this, we should acknowledge that all great personalities in history are always centre of exponential scrutiny and that in fact unveils further flavours they carry but are hidden from human eye. Last but not the least Bacha Khan stature has been acknowledged by Nelson Mandela, Mr Maududi and Edhi sb and that Bacha Khan as subject is taught in Korea, Russia, Kabul, some states of USA. Hope friends from these countries will bear me out if true otherwise I will stand corrected. Regards. Asar ahmadzay

It is unfortunate than Baccha Khan supported united india of Congress. Had he instead struggled for Pakhtoonistan before 1947, it could have been achieved. This would have hindered Pakistan movement and lives of more than ten lac Muslims slaughtered in partition would have been saved. There would.have been no need of Pakistan as greater Afghanistan would have become voice of indian muslims.

@Its.Rijakhan Bacha Khan was confused person.

British Divide and rule caused all this trouble. But after 47 once again DIVIDE AND RULE happened and Muhjireen vs Pashtun hate campaign was run.
Now at least I am telling you, we have common love of freedom as described in the Quran. Equality and Justice for all!
Know your tormentors and don't ever hate another because of race. Seek justice not personalities, this is what Bacha Khan would have done.
