How can anyone give this a "thumbs down"? Normal people, doing normal everyday projects. i love it.
Exactly smh ppl nowadays cant see anybody try to do better for themselves. Not everybody have it to have tile or granite so we gotta work with what we got an make the best. Ungrateful an selfish as ppl who gave tgumbs down.. 💯
Your old floor looks like my current floor. This video has really inspired me to have the confidence to do it myself. Thank you!
You're welcome...you can do it!
I love that you did it as a family and that you both are doing the voice over! You’re teaching the kids to respect what they build. ❤️
I've never seen anyone use spacers and grout with stick tile before, but your results came out beautifully!
It is so easy to use! Thanks for watching!
YOU CAN TOTALLY do that, they sell peel and stick grout at lowes and home depot for that very reason.
You wanna know what my Dad taught me?? Nothing!!! So seeing you guys get the kids involved touched my heart. So far I can really commend you guys on the work you do & on the videos too. Nice editing & a lot of helpful tips!! Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!!
Thanks for the comment! Appreciate you!
Great video you guys, I'm going to be replacing our own kitchen floor here within the next month with some peel and stick marble with grout, and this video helps tremendously, it's also so cool to see you include the whole family, so wholesome.
Fabulous!!! I wish there had been a good peel and stick 35 years ago. My husband tried laying sheet vinyl...I would never let hi work on floors again. What an inspiration you two are!
Thanks Joanie! Peel and stick truly saved our kitchen floor! 😃
My dad (RIP) put peel and stick tiles in my mom’s kitchen 40+ years ago. I was home last month, the tiles are faded, lost their shine. The tiles are in the same place he laid them, all those years ago. I’m taking out all the carpet in the bedrooms, dining, living room, and entryway. Putting in peel and stick, for a more economical solution.
good on you guys .made that kitchen look a million times better
Most helpful video on the peel and stick tile with grout that I’ve found so far. Thank you.
Appreciate you and thanks for watching!
I purchased this tile but, I won't be grouting. Good job!
You guys did a great job
Thank you so much!
Good video quality! May you become rich and famous through your endeavors
Thank you for your kind words!
Good job!
Excellent job
Thank you very much!
Use a torch on the old floor to heat up the glue. This will make it really easy to pull up. Obviously you don’t want to melt it. You just want to heat it up. Did it today at work.
If you ever go to do this again know you can run the knife along the cut line lightly and then snap it for a clean cut easily. I also removed about 4/5 of the backing and left one part on it so I could grab it easily and position it, then stuck two corners in place and kneeled on that part while I peeled the other part off. Watching you both gave me the knowledge and confidence to do some peel and stick tile myself. Thank you for the instructional video!
Great tip! Thanks for watching!
Awesome job! 🔥👍
Thank you so much for making this video. Its what I needed to update my kitchen flooring.
Miguel, you're welcome! Glad we could help. Thanks for watching! -DIYPC 😃
You guys did great!
awesome job and video! i'm about to vinyl tile 2 bathrooms and appreciate seeing what you did
You guys did an awesome job! We did this a few years ago and it still looks good. We don't have any power tools so we used a miter box for all the trim lol!
Also, I always show people the door jambs when they comment on the floors because that's the part I'm most proud of lol!
Hi Hoseep! We know all about the miter box and door jambs!! 😂 Thanks for your comment!
So inspired! Love you two! Glad I found you! Blessings! Ps...love your “little helpers” too!🙂
Thanks for your kind words! 😊
@@DIYPowerCouple so how's it holding up a year later? Wear and tear wise? Geat job btw! 👏
Beautiful job! Learn something new everyday! I have a similar cut in front of my kitchen sick, kind of scary lol...
Beautiful! Great job!
Awesome! great video!!! You look so pretty! and the tile is great too!!
Another great and helpful video! Thank you for making it!
I'm very impressed!! It's so nice
Great job! Love the “little rollers”
This looks amazing guys!!! You rock!!!
Your kitchen looks great👍🏽 You guys did a good job!
Great job
Nice job. And really enjoyed the instructions.
Most how-to videos show us literally how to peel and stick the tiles and that's it--well I know how to PEEL AND STICK. As a pure newbie, It's all the details (e.g. how to measure, cut, trim, grout, or any other necessary steps...what tools or alternative tools that we should use, what are the pitfalls to watch out, etc.) that I want to learn to make the process easy and the result (nearly) perfect. And you're doing exactly that, sharing your tips useful to the rest of us with simple and clear presentation. I still have some questions in mind (e.g. should you cut and bend tiles at the front or the back side and does it make any difference to the intactness of the cutting edge), but your video has helped clarifying a lot of my confusion about this project. Thank you so much for this quality video!
Hi! This video may help you more czcams.com/video/rPERFUlxQfI/video.html
Thanks for watching!
@@DIYPowerCouple I just found one of your videos installing exactly the same tiles that I'm considering now! You demonstrated how to measure and cut the boards that I was so desperate to learn. So excited to watch and learn from you. (I don't know how to remove the toilet so to shape the tiles around the toilet I'm think of drawing lines on paper and use that paper as my "blueprint" for the tiles......hopefully it'll work.) All in all, so grateful for your educative video!
I loved this video. So helpful. You both are so calm and having the kids help was adorable...
Thanks...
Looks amazing😀
Lovely
Nice job, love the tile.
Great job!
beautiful
I ripped up all my old vinyl thinking I could refinish the concrete floor beneath inexpensively. Due to the old adhesive this was IMPOSSIBLE. Its been a mess for MONTHS - TY for this idea - I have the vinyl tiles in my shopping cart. Wish me luck!
I am getting ready to do this in my mud room and half bath. The tile floor looks really good. Hoping my turns out just as good.
Excellent job with beautiful results. Your narration was excellent and easy to understand. Thanks!
Thanks for the video guys looks awesome !
Thanks for watching!
This looks AMAZING !! Definitely has me motivated and ready to tackle some DIY in my home . Keep sharing . Love the videos
Thank you for your comment! We will upload some more videos soon so You Can DIY, Too! :)
Wow y'all did a great job! It looks amazing!
Thank you for watching!
Thank you so much for posting. We have to do our kitchen floor and we had stick tile..but I had no idea you could grout it!!!!!! OMG! Good chance I will use this method to redo my kitchen floor.
Make sure you get the groutable kind. Regular peel and stick it too thin.
love the tips! Love how you guys team/spouse work spirit!Thank you guys. (I'm using son's account...). Thanks and blessings to you!
Awesome Job!!! Looks Great!!!

Nice... thank you :)
EXCELENTE!!! GRACIAS !!!
De nada :)
Nice job! I did our bathroom2 years ago..I just re grouted..it was a little dull..haven't had any problems..and I used a premixed DeLorean gray from h-depot..looks nice..can't wIt to see ur next project
Great job,nice👍👍👍👍👍👌👏👊💖💕
Fantastic video and great job. Came just in time because Iam looking for floor options Thanks for sharing..
Glad to! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the motivational video. Good job.
Thanks for watching!
Great job! I didn't use the brick style but the project turned out wonderfully.
Thanks for watching!
Good Job! How’s the floor holding up after four years? I’m about to install the same exact floor in my kitchen and your video was a big help to me. Thanks for sharing your experience with the product.
We absolutely love this floor. It still looks very good. Grout needs cleaning from time to time, but it was definitely worth it (for us). FIY - No pets...nails would tear it up.
Absolutely beautiful, well done, looks very elegant, love the color and style of the floors.
You guys are awesome💖
Thank you, Cherri! -DIYPC
Thank you again. 👋😎👍 I'll be doing my kitchen over when I finish the bathroom. I hope it will look as beautiful as yours. You guys can do this professionally. Are you guys sure that you aren't professional ? 🤔
Thank you...we are just DIYers. 😃
I may considering if I get this place there is black ceramic tile in the bathroom and kitchen I'm not crazy about it but I think it's easier to use something like this over it as opposed to having it retiled is that a good idea?
Does the vynol go the long way from the entrance to kitchen, im thinking it would probably look better , the longer side be from the side to side of kitchen
You could also use an Iron that you're not using just use a towel ( an old one) set it on top of the tile and with the hot iron press in for about 10 to 15 second remove iron and carefully with a scrapper remove it comes out very easy. Trust me it works I being doing it for years
Hi Gloria! Thanks for the tip.
Looks great! we are in the process now of going thru different styles but I do have one interesting question. What did you do with the refrigerator? Did you have to move it into another room and if so, how long before you could bring it back in the kitchen? Thanks!
Thank you for watching! We moved the refrigerator forward as far as it could go to tile behind it, then moved it back right away. We did not grout the tiles under the fridge or stove. 😀
This is a wonderful transformation. I wonder though, if it would be the wrong choice for me because of the location of my home. My home is located in Desert Hot Springs, CA... where the summers are 120 degrees outside and no doubt a little more on the inside. I'm not there during the summer. I wonder if the peel and stick tiles will lose adhesion during the summer? Any thoughts?
CC, it may be hot, but we try things anyway. Put down 1 or 2 tiles in a corner and see if they will stick for a specified period of time. You should have your answer after that. Let us know how it turns out and thanks for watching! -DIYPC 😃
Hi how has this held up to date… it looks beautiful
Sunshine 🌞 , we walk on this floor every single day. Our kitchen is a high traffic 🚦 area. We are so happy 😁 to report to you that it's still holding up. We scraped one of the tiles with the bottom of a ladder 🪜 , but overall the floor still looks fantastic. We'll do an update on these tiles.
I did this exact same tile in my kitchen and at first it looked amazing and I was so happy with how it turned out! After about a year or so for whatever reason we started to notice black goop coming up from the edges of the tile where they were grouted. Did you have any issues like this? I am looking to possibly take out the grout and re grout or else just put another flooring over it.
Hi! We did not get any goop around the edges, but we also did not use any extra tile glue underneath. If the goop can be easily removed, maybe re-grouting will have it looking new again. Thanks for commenting!
How is this holding up? I’m seriously thinking about putting this particular floor in my house but I’m seeing some negative reviews on Lowe’s website such as it scratches easily, print layer lifting, adhesive failing, color becoming darker/lighter over time etc. Just wondering what is your experience with it?
Hi Wendy! Our floors are still holding up well! Peel and stick has worked well for us. We don't recommend it for spaces with pets or in areas of heavy wear and tear because it can scratch. The great thing is that it is so easy to replace a tile if damaged. Check out our peel and stick playlist czcams.com/play/PL_OdHi7DghLafFZHSPRTSyW6V-maBVWF.html
Hope this helps!
Those arrows on the back are soooo necessary to pay attention to. I paid a guy to do my master bathroom and the marble pattern is all over the place. Needless to say, a year later, Im peeling all that mess back up and redoing it myself.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
I’m wondering if you can give me name of that colour for tiles ? I love your team and love as you work as a family . A great testimony!
Thank you! Oyster Travertine 😃
Can this peel and stick method be used over existing ceramic tile? ( I can not remove the tile on my kitchen floor)
Check out our detailed answer for tiling over ceramic @5:00 czcams.com/video/qpVJUc7mnPQ/video.html
How long did it take you to pull up the old flooring? To lay & grout the tile? Im just starting to think about doing peel & stick and my linoleum is a hot mess!
Hi! Approximately three days for the entire process. However, it only took a day to peel & stick over existing linoleum.
thank you @@DIYPowerCouple
What make grout is that?
Did you just slide tiles under your machines in the laundry, or did you remove them? I really want to do my laundry for, but dread hauling the machines out...
We did remove the machines. It was a little work, but it makes the tile install easier.
@@DIYPowerCouple I was afraid you were going to say that. Hahaha. I was just hoping for a lazy way out. Thanks for all your inspiration and your quick reply!
Is the roller something you can rent or can something else heavy be used to roll over the tile? I dont need to own that big piece of equipment 😂.I want to try something like this in my kitchen since its more cost effective
Nvm I found my answer stalking your page when you guys did the Q and A video lol. Thank you!
LOL! You can rent or just roll yourself, right?!?😂😂
@@DIYPowerCouple I would for sure try to😂🤣🤦🏾♀️
Can you tell me how has it been holding up? & would you still recommend it? Also are their any cons to this product. Thank you!
Hi! Thanks for watching. The tiles still look great! I would say the only con is keeping the grout lines clean. We scratched one tile because we dropped/scraped a ladder on it, but that is uncommon wear. :) We recommend it and we used it again.
@@DIYPowerCouple thank you
dear I really like this video but can you tell me how it has been after one year as i am planing to install peel and stick tiles but want to know how it will be after 1 year as review after 1 year is more considerable ................. waiting for reply ................. thanks
Thanks for commenting! This tile has held up so well in our kitchen even after a year. We have heavy foot traffic with kids but no pets and the tile has been easy maintenance.
hi is this floor easy to clean die to the textire it has?
Very easy to clean! 👍🏾
What’s the purpose of those little things that your putting on the tile? Are they little rocks?
Hey! Thanks for watching. The spacers are used to create grout lines if you like that look.
Great video! My mother-in-law is considering using the same exact tile you used , but she is concerned that the tiles will expand or contract. Have you had any issues with that? Did you let your tiles acclimate for a long time before you laid them? Thank you for any advice you might be able to give. Again, great video and your kitchen looks beautiful 😊
Thanks for watching! We had the tiles inside for about a week before we actually laid them down. We have not had any issues with expanding/contracting and our tiles have seen it all...spills, drops, heavy traffic, etc. I think she will be very pleased with this product!
Having a hard time finding the tile product you used, can you link it?
It can be found at Lowe's now under Style Selections.
How did you make the template to cut around the door jam?
Mahogany chic, we used the first tile that we made a mistake on to trace the pattern on to the second tile. We traced the pattern on to the second tile with a pencil and used pruning shears to cut the tile in the shape of the moulding. We wish we had a tool like this amzn.to/2DU6Epu. We think it would have made things a little easier. We hope this helps! Thanks for watching☺
@@DIYPowerCouple thank you! I plan to get one of those tools as well. I’m trying to geek myself up to do it 😬😩 I’ve never grouted either. Did you all find the center of the room to begin or did you just start in a corner?
We started as close to the center as we could. LOL!
How did you transfer the pattern of your baseboard on to the tile?
Please elaborate.
@@DIYPowerCouple Thanks - what I mean is at 5:57, you cut out a tile to the door jamb (sorry - I used the wrong terminology) - I'm wondering how you transferred the pattern of the moulding on to the tile? Thanks for the great videos!

@@DIYPowerCouple Thank you so much! Love your channel.
Thank you for your comment!
Do they feel like your walking on plastic?
Thanks for your question! It feels softer than ceramic tile and a little like smooth plank flooring. It does not have a plastic feel at all. To us, it feels great under your feet😃
Where are your tiles from ??? Thanks
Hi Sabrina! These tiles are found at Lowes. They may have changed the name to Style Selection instead of Stainmaster? Thanks for watching!
@@DIYPowerCouple - thank you for the reply since iv watched your videos my brain is in over drive thinking of what i can do to each room 🤣 u make everything look so simple to do .. cant wait for more uploads keep up the good work 👌🏾👌🏾
I don’t see the tile in your list in this video or the one you did with the bathroom wall
Hi Addalyn, you can find this tile at Lowes. This video gives more info on both tiles: czcams.com/video/4rR7I1geJvM/video.html
Heat it up would have helped
Why would you put that horrible trim on LVT tiles?
Excellent job
Great job
