Mint is legit one of the single best base flavors of ice cream out there, outclassing even plain ol' chocolate, imo. Not only do you get that cool, refreshing taste that all ice creams have, but the added menthol makes it feel even cooler, perfect for a hot summer day!
Mint chocolate also makes for one of the most flavoursome ice cream soups as well~ when you find that one surprise chip at the bottom 🤩
At least vanilla is edible on a hot day. It's very easy to go too heavy on chocolate (flavoring) and while i don't get sick per se, it just becomes unappetizing and i start feeling gross after awhile. Chocolate and strawberry ice cream and a hot day don't mix well.

I know mint is probably gonna be the most popular but it's so unfair and unfortunate that I hate mint! I don't even use mouthwash, as soon as it hits my tongue I have to spit it out I just can't do it! Imo vanilla is the actual best flavor hence that's the team I'm choosing, and of course it's probably the one everyone finds mediocre and boring.
@@mcdonathan2235 Vanilla's great too! Imo it's the third best base ice cream flavor after mint and chocolate, and there's so many great flavors that use vanilla: cookies & cream, peanut butter swirl, and cookie dough, just to name a few. I just personally like mint just a bit more.

I'm very glad chocolate wasn't one of the choices cause it would've just swept the splatfest, the choice would've been too popular. Mint chip is the perfect controversial replacement. Iconic that the ice cream splatfest is at Barnacle & Dime for tricolor as well.
If chocolate was in it would be too hard, so Big Man, being the Best Man, decided to be mint CHOCOLATE so he wouldn’t absolutely destroy them.

I am allergic to chocolate specifically cocoa powder so I was on team White Chocolate. I love mint shakes from Culver’s and I have had peppermint ice creme before and is was the best. Mint chip does have the best colour too as that minty sea green is beautiful!

As a vanilla patron, I have my good and fair reasons for picking the team. Vanilla ice cream has no chunks, because no extra flavoring is needed. It’s plain, sweet, and perfect. Additionally, mint chip and strawberry can’t exactly be served soft. While vanilla is best served soft!
Regular vanilla and vanilla bean may be very different flavors, sure, but they taste strikingly similar if I recall correctly. And while mint is easy to grow, we are willing to take time and effort into growing our precious vanilla. Blood, sweat, and tears will drop from our dedicated hands, so that we may eat the best ice cream, untouched by chunks of flavor, untouched by *god.*
Strawberry is gross, mint chip is oxymoron toothpaste, and vanilla is the best one. I rest my case 🍦

Sadly, Vanilla's color is a kind of white & I think this Splatfest will be like White Chocolate, but, no matter what the color is or who wins, we all (hopefully) have fun!

TEAM VANILLA!!! I told myself that in the event of a Neapolitan Splatfest that I’d pick vanilla anyways, so with chocolate out of the way, vanilla is easy (no hate to mint chip or strawberry, vanilla is just better and more versatile)

im torn between mint and strawberry, so im gonna do an expiriment, ima buy each flavor of the teams, and do a taste test. wichever weighs the least by the time of the splatfest, will be the one i chose, since i ate more of it then the others. its not perfect but im gonna try it.

Trans flag is blue not minty seafoam green, vanilla is also not pure white and is a yellowish pale beige… not hating just pointing out your inaccuracy on the colours.
