My uncle is Rick B. . He's Been winning heavyweight arm wrestling championships all over the world for 40 years now. He's 62 now and still benches 450. Age is just a number. He competes professionally in the 55 and up heavyweight category now... but still beats young 20 something heavyweights at will lol.. Literally beats local champs as young as his grandkids lol.

I love how they encourage each other and are supportive even when they lose, you never see that anymore
it's a sport full of chances of being hurt, so I THINK that must be some feelings like "maybe this guy or me can get fcked today so let's have fun"
We need more people in sports with that attitude.
Nowadays, it's all too competitive. You never really see two people going against each other, and then after giving support. Great to see.
Yeah it's a sport which requires everything from you... Most of them beat their own records which makes them evn more happier than winning that round
Nah there’s a point of strength where you actually get humbled to a degree of knowing your own capabilities to such an extreme extent that you know it’s better being humble and having good sportsmanship. And they know how hard it is because they are doing things that would be humanly impossible if they didn’t exist

I met Mark Felix at a Leeds Strongman event in Leeds a few years ago. He is such a gentleman and I am surprised he hasn't been offered film work. Long may he compete!

I had been complaining that I started powerlifting too late, at the age of 35 - now 37 and turning 38 this year. I'm going to stop complaining about my age from this moment on. What an inspiration Mark Felix is.

I am finding guys starting later have more longevity. A lot of guys starting super young are done younger, it’s the miles that gets them coupled with a lack of training maturity
He looks 20 years younger than he is. He's an incredible strength athlete and to do even half of what he can in his mid 50s is unbelievable.
Amazing that Felix was competing at the top back when today's top athletes was just about learning how to read, and he still schools them on a regular basis.
Definitely one of the GOATS.

@@blizzard3728 Z never officially announced retirement. He came down with a rather serious nerve injury in his neck/shoulder back in 2016 and has been taking it easy.. trying to recover from that ever since but always with the aim to get back into the game when his body allows for it
His edge comes from wisdom, technique, and mental strength all from years of experience.
Felix is awesome, especially when doing pull ups.
I don't know much about strongman stuff but this event looks like the most wholesome event ever made. I love how the contestants encourage each other, being supportive, and accept defeat like a true warrior. We really need more community like this event has.

The man's pride shines so bright it lights me up too awesome achievement wow this is what it's about longevity.
This guy is a beast. Like a fine wine getting better with time.
I remember watching Flex 15 years ago with Mariusz Pudzianowski. Flex's best event was the car deadlift. Literally from today to the era of Mariusz, there's been like 5 iterations of strongmen champions. Most of those champions came and left the sport (Phil, Brian, Savickas,.Eddie, Thor, etc). Flex is still going. Insane. His longevity is incomparable.

The ending really sells this man to the audience. You don't expect a man of his stature, a man with the voice of a lion when he's clenching his entire body, to be so damned humble and lovely.

One thing I noticed is these athletes they are competing against each other. But at the same time it is like working out with your gym bro! They feel happy for the fellow athlete when he is doing more reps 👌🏻
