      People don’t get sick from magical flying Boogey germs. They DEVELOP the “illness” following the resolution of the upsetting event that caused it. Just like they DEVELOP cancer. If you can’t “catch” cancer, you can’t “catch” anything else. The Germ Theory has been fraud for 110 years. Repeating it over and over does not make it true.

      He was pulling really good money in 1998! Idk what he thinks that proves, $400 for like 5 days, nominally 10 hours of work (even if he was working 8 hours a day) is a lot of money for 98

      @zoltanzukaly7231 Před 22 dny +56

      @@Yixdy Just looked up the average annual wage in the US in 1998, and it was 38k. Even if Tosh would have worked all weeks, all year, 500 bucks per week, that's still only 26k, so way below the national average. Also, a comedian doesn't just work 2 hours per day, that's ridiculous. You have to count traveling and writing and actually practicing the jokes too.

    I worked in student activities at SCAD in Savannah while I was a student from 2003-06. We booked you in for a show and took you to dinner afterward (to the fanciest TGI Fridays in town).
    I’m pretty sure we paid a couple thousand dollars, and you couldn’t have been funnier on stage or nicer off stage.
    Definitely made a lot of fans for life that night, including this one of 20 years.
    Flash forward, I now work in Atlanta with someone that was a PA on Tosh.0, and she has the same great feedback on you: hysterically funny, incredibly nice.
    Glad for all your success and that you’re the same good guy to people that work with you. (And glad that you’re pulling in a little more than a couple grand a show.)

It was YOUR hard work and good fortune that got you to place of being able to have and spend what and how you do. Money is such a taboo subject in America and I honestly think that the hush-hush nature of finances is a a big part of the problem people face when it comes to money. Demystify what shouldn't be a mystery to begin with. Screw the haters, keep spittin' that truth.

    Wow. I saw you around 2000 or so at the Comedy Works in Denver. I think it was one of those deals where they called me and said "Congratulations! You won a free comedy party for up to 30 people. 1 drink minimum". You were funny as hell back then and are still funny as hell. Watching you read your calendar from back then made me realize how hard you worked your ass off over the years to become one of the greatest. Maybe one of the greatest ever. I am funny in small groups. I make my friends laugh and I've always mused about getting on stage. Now I realize that I don't have the BALLS to be a comedian. That's the difference between you and the unwashed masses that can't pay 6 figures for an air stream or pay "new driveway money" to get our drawers lined. I've seen you a couple of times live since 2000 and you've always delivered. Thank you for making me laugh.

    Tosh! I finally got to see you live at the Dolby Theater for the first time this past Saturday and man what a treat it was. I was able to score second row seats with my girlfriend (I had a green hoodie on with flowers), but I doubt you saw us haha. You did absolutely amazing and had us dying the entire time! And Eddie, you also did amazing! Your stand up had us cracking up as well, and man I hope to see you both live again some time soon. Much love!

    Well I’m glad Houston wasn’t the only place where a fight broke out. I was honestly embarrassed. How do you even fight at a comedy show. It’s a fucking comedy show. Tosh handle it so well and by that he was making fun of the situation. I forgot what he said but I was rolling.

  • @theinconsequentialrunner

      Bold faced lie, sir. Without evidence, you are definitely looking for clicks.
      Regardless of the disparity, it's like saying hollywood actors made more in the 90's. They did. Deal with it. What is your point?
      And why call out a single human who knowingly pays more than most?
