The Story of the Disappearing Olive Trees, Kastelli, Crete

This video covers a moment during the environemental festival Aeithali when we learned about trees wich have been removed from their fields.
Spontaneously, we decided to go there to show support to the owner of the field and to do a small action on the spot.

The construction of the airport will deprive the valley from their fields and from clean water. The ressources of the valley will be polluted to the extent that people will leave it.

C'est dramatique. J'espère qu'ailleurs en Crête ce n'est pas pareil. En 2010 j'ai retrouvé les Oliviers qui en 1977 m'avaient fascinée par leur troncs de véritables sculptures. C'était près de Plakias au sud de Rethminon
