- Hey everyone so ended up working on this video for over 10 hours trying to make the video not get unblocked and after several smaller watermarks, had to just do a pretty big one. Sorry for the inconvenience, did not want to cut a lot of the content, so decided this was the next best thing. Anyway, hope you enjoyed the reaction, so happy to start this trilogy!

Hey everyone hope the watermark wasn’t too bad, wanted to include a lot in this reaction so hope you enjoyed! Next up is Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil!
If you like time travel you need to react to "The Butterfly Effect" and "The Phildelphia Experiment". You'll love both movies.
Hooray for Tucker and Dale!
IMO, the watermark was fine. Looking forward to *Enchanted!* 👸🏼
And I'm sure I'm not the only one that's going to say, you gotta see *Back to the Future II.* 😃
You have to remember, we have already seen these movies so the watermark is fine.
@@Jerome616 Quite right. Although, I have seen watermarks that made it difficult to even see what's happening.
I always feel this series is the perfect example of pure entertainment.
The intricacy of the interwoven plots in the trilogy made it a lot of fun to grow up with...
Back to the Future is the perfect movie tbh
That and old Disney movies
"Oh, so the car is the time machine?" God love you, you may have been the only person in the world to not know this. :)
And now there's no one left in the world who doesn't know this.
@@tfpp1 All is how it should be
@@tfpp1 New people are born everyday.
@@jp3813 Oh good! Somebody else got my sarcastic joke!
Should we tell him why the choice of car was a joke at the time?
When Marty first goes back to the past, he drives through a pine tree at the location of the Twin Pines Mall. Then when Marty returns to the mall in the future, the mall is called the Lone Pine Mall
Did not pick that up at all, thanks for letting me know!
@@nickflix8657 No problem! There are tons of details like that in this movie so it’s great for rewatches
The real mall where it was filmed has a sign from the movie mall inside it on display!
@@tokyochannel2020 The real mall is Puente Hills Mall. Used to go to Kit's Camera to get all my film developed. Cute girl named Lisa worked there :-)
I love that detail so much, and all those little gems throughout the film. This film is SO great for that, just rewatching and catching all those little things that people do or say that come up again when they go back to 1955 or how they change again when they go back to the future. This film is so brilliantly written, clever and so fun. It's definitely one of my favorites. And you gotta love Michael J. Fox in the role. He and Christopher Lloyd are perfect together.
The music judge who said Marty’s band was too loud was played by Huey Lewis of Huey Lewis and the News. He wrote Power of Love and Back in Time for this movie.
And Marty was literally playing The Power of Love too. 😂
Fun Fact: Part II takes place in the the future.
Fun Fact Part 2: That 'future' is now the past.
Please film a reaction to part 2!!!!
I’m reacting to the whole trilogy!
@@nickflix8657 So glad to hear it! I'll look forward to your reactions!!
It's a "Futurama" thing/;)
The pacing in this movie is perfect. You’re never bored even after multiple viewing
15:43, Ronald Reagan laughed at the scene, he asked the projectionist to play it again, to hear what Doc said later on.
It was one of his fave films historically. He screened it many times & loved being referenced. He was an actor, of
Course he did 🙂! God bless Reagan
I met the guy who played Goldie Wilson at a convention, nicest guy ever.
It may be a small part, but the scene where he gives George the pep talk about standing up for yourself always gets respect.
dude. lucky you. that would be sick. rock on!!!!
Oh, that's so cool! 😍😍😍
Doc Brown's mind reading machine actually works.
“You’ve come here from a great Distance?”
Marty walked at least 2 miles from the housing estate to Hill Valley township.
“You want me to buy a subscription to the Saturday Evening Post?”
This was the newspaper that Marty got from the trash in order to confirm the date
“Donations. You want me to make a donation...”
Marty was thinking of the donation lady who was saving the clock tower
“...to the Coast Guard youth auxiliary”
Everyone in 1955 is assuming Marty’s west is a life preserver.
That last one could go either way really. So it's Doc seeing that vest and thinking it was a life preserver as well which is why he took a guess at that one and came up with "Coast Guard etc.".
“Marvin Berry” Calle his cousin “Chuck” to tell him about this new music
My friends couldn't figure out why I was dying before the phone call was made :-p ...in the theater watching this, that is...
Even better: that bit is actually based on a true story. I learned about it in high school.
i think this is the movie i would most love to be able to watch again for the first time. i adore seeing first time reactions to it so much. a couple things for you to know: this has long been heralded in hollywood as a PERFECT screenplay, because every single thing tied together so seamlessly. also, it was first intended to be a stand-alone movie; the last scene with doc alluding to something with their kids was just for fun. aaaand no spoilers but in the second one, the villain was deliberately modeled after someone very familiar to all of us in this day and age 😂
Definitely a perfect screenplay, unavoidable time-travel plot holes notwithstanding. It's the best example of setup/payoff I can think of.
“Doc Brown” names his dogs after scientists.
In 1985 his dog is named “Einstein”
In 1955 his dog is named “Copernicus “
Ohhh never got that thanks for the fun fact!
@@nickflix8657 You weren't supposed to get that 2nd name. It's actually revealed in part 3.
@@jp3813 that's odd I thought it was in this movie, too...
"If anything, this movie does kinda warn people about the dangers of Time Travel."
Heh, just wait until you watch Part II. Which you should definitely watch. And Part III. And watch them each a few times because the amount of hidden details in each movie is nuts.
Definitely plan on rewatching them a bunch haha.
I love this franchise but the second movies logic is horrible from the very beginning
@sir Rios.. I always thought that too lol. All they had to do was raise their kids a little better n tweak a couple things. But its still a good movie
@@sirrios02 Yeah, I know. But the final third is so brilliant I give the movie a pass for the nonsensical first part.
In film schools, they teach that this script is the perfect script.
So many small details. When Marty hits the tree in the DeLorean, the name of the mall changes to the Lone Pine mall instead of the twin pines mall. There’s tons of tiny stuff like that throughout the whole series
Watched this probably 15 times and I actually never caught that! Ha!
“Old man Peabody’s son’s name is “Sherman” in homage to the “Sherman and Peabody” cartoons on the Rocky And Bullwinkle show
To see your elder family members when they were younger would be trippy
LOL and their barn got busted by a Way-Back Machine.
Back to the Future is one of the tightest scripts ever. Every set up has a payoff. The characters are amazing. Is funny, is action packed.
I´m glad you enjoyed it so much.
Thanks for sharing!
Wow! I am so shocked and happy you didn’t know the car was a time machine! One of my favorite reactions of yours. And the fact you spent over 10 hours trying to get this to us today, you are such an amazing person!
Back to the future is a perfect movie.
The trilogy should be seen as one film, since their plots all interweave.
This is basically where Rick and Morty came from ^-^
Doc and Marty.
I’ve actually never seen Rick and Morty haha
I both envy and pity you equally.
You grew up without these films in your DNA...yet get to discover them at such a shit time in our lives.
Keep em coming.
The guy who plays Biff is actually a great guy. PS Your reactions are adorable and so sincere.
My only suggestion: No one refers to Doc Brown as "The Doctor." 😂 Makes me think of Doctor Who!! Lol
Just called "Doc" :-)... Great trilogy! Both fun when I was a kid, and now as an adult.
Doctor Whom?
@@Otokichi786 No, Doctor Who is the name of a TV series.
@@denanebergall5514 Sorry, never heard of it.
As long as it makes me think of the 10th doctor, that'd be okay by me! LOL
A little point that made me laugh was when Marty is trying to unscrew the top on a pop bottle at the gas station and George runs in and pops it off with the cap remover. Boy do I remember those days :)
Oh! And as someone else mentioned, there's a "teaser" trailer of the 3rd movie at the end of the second one. DON'T WATCH IT!!! Keep it spoiler-free for yourself.
I’ll try to stop it before the spoiler comes haha.
NickFlix Yeah, stop watching immediately when the movie ends. The trailer starts playing right after that.
It's wonderful to see a movie I loved as a kid being genuinely enjoyed by someone newly watching it so many years later. Glad you loved it!
"Back to the Future" is one of my all-time favorite trilogies! Great reaction!
*Fun fact* actor Eric Stoltz filmed most of the movie as Marty when Michael J. Fox wasn’t available, but after the film wasn’t getting the laughs that Zemekis and comp. we’re hoping for they fired Stoltz and was able to get Fox in after he agreed to film Family Ties in the day and film Back to the future at night.
That is indeed a fun fact sir. I didn't know that
@@smittybenzo4693 CZcams has a lot of different videos on it. You can watch some scenes with Stoltz. And there is still one scene in the final film that has stoltz in it. When Marty punches Biff at the cafe, it’s stoltz who punches him. Look at the color of the pic from rest of scene.
@@francisalbert1799 It makes sense. The two had similar builds and apparently height...I will definitely look those scenes up. Thanks
@@smittybenzo4693 no problem. Here’s a quick clip of Zemeckis talking about what happened. czcams.com/video/dt_j78zftkg/video.html
@@francisalbert1799 not only that but some of the scenes where Marty is driving the car mostly during the mall scene is also Eric Stoltz as well
4:08, that's Huey Lewis in a cameo.
Fun fact: The Power of Love was written for this film. Also I just LOVE Alan Silvestri's score for these films. He's my second favorite composer, only behind John Williams.
I feel a pure sense of joy and amazement every time someone watches this for the first time 😂 Back to the Future trilogy is just so good... such a classic. I've seen the movies so many times and they never get old. Be sure to watch all 3, more time traveling chaos to see 😁😁😁
Plan on it!
Great, great, great reaction! I can’t wait for you to see part two. “Where were going we don’t need roads” ✌️&❤️ Nick
Hahah can’t wait either glad you liked it!
It's always wild to see someone discovering this movie for the first time. I've seen it so many times over the years. Such a good script--everything mentioned in the beginning ends up fitting together and playing a role later in the movie.
It is difficult to contain the amount of sentimental emotion this movie holds for me... When you grow up with a movie like this, its just a part of who you are.
YESSSS! Been waiting for this one for so long, so happy you are doing the whole trilogy!
One thing I really love about this movie is that, in the end, there isn’t any trickery involved in the plot. Marty tries to trick his mother into going with George, but his plans go awry when Biff shows up, leading to George finally finding his inner strength. In the end, it all comes down to George deciding to be stronger man and to not be pushed around, with guidance, but not direct interference (other than the car incident and the Darth Vader bit) from Marty.
It really is incredible how they do it!
I just found your channel and the emotion you put in every movie is everything! This is my fav triology of all time
I’ve seen so many reactions to this series so glad to see you doing it! And if you like the future, you’ll love the second movie. The whole trilogy is worth watching
Your general enthusiasm is infectious man, great stuff! Hope you do part 2&3, it truly is a complete series..Easter eggs galore!
Probably my favorite trilogy. Fun fact: This script is considered to be so good it is actually used in film schools.
Also, there is a fan theory that the flux capacitor is actually sentient. A couple of examples they use are (1) If the car starts right away at the end it throws off the timing of the pole catching the lightning and Marty never makes it back. (2) If the car doesn't stall when Marty gets back he runs into himself while warning doc and causes a paradox.
Awww man. Watching you react to this transported me back to ‘85 when I saw it in the theater. Your reactions mirrored my own.
I was rewatching your reaction because I love the movie so much, and I realized you told people to wait until the first if they wanted to subscribe to the patron, You're so selfless man! Your awesome.
What's cool is that the actor that plays Biff is such a chill nice funny guy. He nailed this role
This is the most wholesome reaction. Loved it 💖. You got a new subscriber 🙌🏽
Such a great reaction! Really makes me happy watching you see such classics for the first time 😁
Have a lot of classics planned! Glad you enjoyed the reaction!
I mean it when I type that I appreciate your reactions. I love that you have a great time experiencing a truly perfect film for the first time. They don't come around to often but this is one of them.
I just always wondered what George thought, when Marty got to maybe 14 or so, and started looking more and more like "Calvin." lol
Your genuine enjoyment of this movie made me truly enjoy it all over again. Don't ever stop being you.
Great Reaction Brother!! One of my favorite movies and Trilogy’s!! 💯👏😎
Ah can’t believe you are now on this series! Love your videos, you’re so dang genuine!
THE definitive time travel movie. The reason why I love time travel movies and movies in general. Just how this story was pieced together was such a great process to hear about on the blu ray commentary.
Such a wholesome reaction, really enjoyed it,so sweet!
Thanks, Nick! ⏳ I love temporal mechanics, too... and this trilogy is sooooo much fun... and it always gets me emotional in the same spots.
Your reaction is so pure. Love it
The Back to the Future Trilogy is such a favourite of mine! I just love Christopher Lloyd's facial expressions! I think it's incredible that with part II we've now lived well beyond the time they travelled to into the future, 2015, as though that was something amazing! It was for its time... hehe... Great reactions again 🙂
I have loved this film for more years than I care to remember but its amazing to see it through your eyes as a 1st viewing ♥ thank you
Never watched the movie but your reaction was awesome and amazing video as always 💓can't wait for the next one
Thank you thank you thank you for reacting this masterpiece i love Back to the Future. Great reaction bro👍👍
One of the best movies and trilogies ever made; I will never not love these movies. 😍😍😍
I have a feeling you'd love "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" too!
Love your reactions! Best on CZcams!!
“Respect, damn...you lack it.” 😂😂
Nicely said. I’m subbing 👍🏻👍🏻
My favourite movies of all time. They're endlessly re-watchable, you'll always notice something new you haven't paid attention to before.
Great review! One of my all time favorite movies!
In 1986 when it finished in the theater everyone applauded and cheered!
This movie has one of the best endings ever. Such a great shot and ending song.
Really enjoyed your commentary and reactions, thank you! And it was glorious that you knew nothing about the film.
You know you know a reactor when: You already see how long the video is and know Nick liked it!
😂😂
"gonnna get noticed." na, you misheard that, chuck berry is the composer of the song. they imply that this guy is his cousin, marvin berry. and the dance marty does is called 'the duck walk,' chuck berry's signature move.
You giggled like me when I first saw this back then :-) Imagine us seeing this when there was no internet or channels on tv. All we had was comics and our own imagination. Watching this blew our minds.
loved the reaction, tnx nick.
Lots of easter eggs in these films you have to look out for.
When Marty first goes to the mall, the sign reads, "Twin Pines Mall." When Marty goes to 1955 and speeds away from the Peabody farm, he accidentally runs over one of two small pine trees. When Marty returns at the end of the film, the mall sign reads, "Lone Pine Mall"
Nick my boy, you have just began what is the greatest trilogy of films ever made. You are going to have a lot of fun with these films. Enjoy.
I’m so excited!
This is a fun time travel sci fi movie! Love it! Saw all the films growing up! They showed all the films on NBC for the first time. They are a lot of fun!
nick: that almost went to a whole new level
me: oh, just wait about twenty to thirty mins, then you'll see a whole new level!
Yes, I'm a Gen Z who loves this 80's movie. I love all the setup and payoff, all the callbacks to itself and the time travel never feels convoluted or confusing which is amazing for a time travel movie. Everything has a purpose to be there. I also like how we don't need to know how Marty knows Doc because the story still works perfectly without it.
Just found your channel. Wow you’re awesome and love your reactions. Subbed
This bring back so many childhood memories, I was obsessed with this movie when I was 12. Michael J Fox you will always be my idol.
Cant believe you havent watched this one yet. Cant complain though cause the reaction was as fresh as it could be! Looking forward to part 2 and 3 :)
Thanks haha.
"that's so weird! a car for time traveling?!" loved this video!!! ❤️
I love it! "Ah! You gotta believe... *slight pause*... some people think."
My like was the 777th ))) And I subscribed after that first video I've seen with you.
I m a big back to the future fan and I loved your reaction. I was smiling from ear to ear the whole time. You need to watch the other 2. BTTF is the best trilogy IMO
Great reaction! Looking forward to seeing your reactions to part II and III :D :D
This is one of my favorite movies ever. It’s in the past, even when it’s in the present. But the story, past present and future, is brilliant.
One of my favorite Trilogies, I really hope you do Parts 2 & 3.
You will love the second part of this probably best written trilogies I've ever seen. Believe me.
You're gonna love this fun fact: in the "Darth Vader" scene, they were supposed to use an actual van Halen song, but the band wouldn't give permission, so the guitarist just recorded some riffs himself and sent it to them on that tape.
Happy to see this movie still slaps to fresh eyes.
The guy who said “I’m afraid you’re just too darn loud “ is Huey Lewis.
Never get tire of watching Back to the Future. I noticed hou watched part 2 already but didnt see part 3 on your list of watched. (?)
This trilogy is my favorite time traveling movies. I can keep watching them and not get bored.
The entire series is often touted as one of the very best trilogies in terms of story consistency. And this first part is taught in USC film school as being the "perfect" screenplay. And just so you know, par II actually takes place "in the future", so make sure to check that one out.
It's probably taught in the building named The Robert Zemeckis building which I just went past the other day.
@@tempsitch5632 Probably a safe bet.
My mother graduated from high school in 1955. When we watched this in the 1980s, she laughed at their reaction to Marty's heavy metal solo at the dance because it's exactly how they would have looked if they heard that.
Well crafted storytelling, fun and feelgood factor, top any list.
What a great review!!! 👍👍👍
Fun fact: Michael J. Fox was also working on the hit sitcom Family Ties at the time and the studio wouldn't give him time off to work on the film, so when he was working on Back to the Future, he was only operating on about 4 hours sleep each night.
One of the best trilogies 💜💜
I love this! Back to the Future is one of the best movies of all time.
