I must admit I can't follow and understand every thing in this video. English is not my first langue but even in Danish I probably wouldn't be able to follow it all. That will how ever not stop me from putting in some thoughts.
As I understand causality then nothing happens without a pre determined reason. I sincerely hope that not to be true. If that is the case why try to better one self. It should all ready be set down what one does and doesn't do then. It would not help to punish any crime.
I also believe that so far no scientist has created life. Maybe there is some truth in what the Bible says that God created man (and all life) with a free will.
The Bible of cause has been repeated so many times by man that we have no idea about what is the truth or what is not or even if there is a God but what I get out of it is that philosophers in ancient time realized that the life energy is capable to change causality. If not why bother with anything?
Another possibility is true randomness to exist on occasions.

I don't know if you have heard about Robert Sapolsky. But I really recommend you to read his book "Behave: The biology of humans at our best and worst". He might give you answers to the questions you are asking. And he has a pretty solid perspective on the statement: "It would not help to punish any crime."

@@alexfox2038 Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately It is difficult for me to read a lot. Video lectures are much better.
In regards to causality then I hope it not to be true for living things. I also choose to live like it isn't which is what I see most people do. Of cause if causality is true (as I understand that it is like a chemical process where there is only one outcome possible) for living things then I can't choose anything and merely have to go along for the ride. I find that un satisfactory.
