Detox is a genius don't get me wrong, but i feel like he's reached a fork in the road with his sound and knows it's complacency is soon to be overtaken by new talent. Any thoughts on this?
Can you tell me when the detox flip of a Res Lang song happened? And which Res Lang song title it was? I'd love to figure that out! As for your question, I love both artists, but I'd take detox over res Lang everything because in my opinion it is more danceable. I also don't think flipping other people's song is any ode to transition or anything. I feel like it is probably just a lot of fun to flip songs that you like in a way that is more your style. I'd liken it to being against the stigma of such

Definitely a hard point to make because I'm so thankful and indebted to the meaning Detox's music has given me over the years. It's hard to critique an artist that you love so much, but I felt like at a Tipper event where nearly everyone in the crowd knows your entire discography front and back, it could have been a moment to showcase all of the WIP stuff that's on the back burner for him. Regardless, just happy he's still playing and sharing his tunes. Can't wait to see what's next.

I also found some sets of res Lang playing detox. I think they just like to have fun and flip tracks or pay homage. Talent recognizes talent. But perhaps you are correct, I just feel like it isn't any passing of any torch.
The particle effect is a custom touch designer patch I made to emit particles based on the velocity of a movement. The duck is a render I made in Houdini. Lastly the displacement glitch that comes in every so often is a custom GLSL shader that The Void coded.
