  • I though I'd share my process for how I make my clay keychains to show you don't need expensive materials to get started! All of these things were purchased from Amazon, Etsy, or my local craft supplies shop :)

    I have been struggling with using polymer clay to try and make charms, as well as painting them. This seriously just changed the game for me because now I will absolutely be able to have more accessible ways of making my charms!

      I'm so glad!! It's a shame that art can be such an expensive hobby, everyone should be able to create the things they want 🩷

    I already know how to do all of this, but I enjoyed watching the video. I like seeing how other people do stuff. And this is a nice alternative to polymer clay which is hard to work with sometimes.

    This is so cute! My eye pins usually fall out and I never thought of making a little loop at the bottom. Thanks!

    Hello ! I love your style, the video and the fact you are showing everything from start to end ! 🥰
    I also wanted to give you advice for when you open and close a loop ; if you don't want to spoil the shape of your loop you can open it sideways. Like the jump rings you have, they are opened sideways to keep the good round shape. 😊
    I wish you good luck in your creative life and can't wait to see more !
    And for anyone who reads this, have a wonderful day ! 💖

    Do you prefer to use glossy or satin sculpy glaze?

    • @bearberet
      @bearberet  Před 21 dnem +2

      Thank you!! Honestly I've used both and haven't noticed much of a difference between the two 🤭 I think the satin one is ever so slightly less shiny, but still has a pretty glossy finish so I usually just buy whichever one is available/cheaper

    Ive just gotten into Jewelry making and I have a lot of air dry clay to use up... Not to mention tons of cookie cutters i still need to try out... This tutorial gave me lots of ideas! I hadn't heard of Sculpey glaze. Does it prevent the clay from "reactivating" if wet? (I made a clay dreidel and my daughter touched it with wet hands even though it had been dry for weeks... I had no idea it would re-wet!!! 😨)

      I'm glad I could inspire you! 🥰 The clay that I use doesn't reactivate when it gets wet from my experience so I'm not sure how your clay would react to having the sculpey glaze applied. I would maybe test it out on a small sample piece of clay first and see how it reacts before glazing a completed piece!

    Do you also draw the same design on the back of charm?

    • @bearberet
      @bearberet  Před 3 dny

      Totally up to you! I usually just leave the back as a solid colour but you can definitely draw the same design on both sides
