    This is my personal opinion...
    Para sa akin the deciding factor of whether or not to buy a property here in the UK depends on where you want to retire or where you see yourself in future. Do you see yourself staying in the UK in the long run or do you see yourself somewhere else?
    I personally brought a property here because I plan to settle down on this country. Like you said manong, the money spent on rent is paying someone else's mortgage/business... So why not, purchase your own so you're paying your own mortgage.
    By the time I finish my mortgage, I will have a roof over my head that I can call mine without worrying on how to pay rent or worrying the landlord will ask me to leave bevauze they need the property for something else. Also, I Don't have to work my a$$ off until I'm old Kasi need to think about how to pay my rent. I want to retire early...so the earlier I can save and invest, the early retirement.
    And let's be real, uk property market is better investment than PH (hello... £ vs php), so if in case I decided to go back in PH, the return of investment is higher as compare if I brought a property back in PH.
    Lastly, I would prefer to invest on something na I can physically see/monitor. I know marami akong mapagkakatiwalaan sa pinas but at the end of the day, if something happens, I don't want to play the "blame game".
    Do your own due diligence. Do your research, may mga "help to buy" scheme ang UK government to help first time buyers save up for a deposit. Ung initial deposit kasi ang masakit sa ulo 😂
    Saving up for a house/initial deposit is really challenging. You need to be really focused specially the property market is expensive. live within/or below your means. Wag puro luho at travel. Wag puro YOLO. Wag puro showoff. Wag puro padala, invest on yourself and your future. Magtira para sa sarili.

      Sa mga nagwowonder kung kaya ba ito? Kayang kaya. Basta focus talaga. You'll have to make some initial sacrifices like not being able to travel and eat out pero worth it sya manong. I have been here in the UK for 4.5yrs as a theatre nurse. I'm on my early 30s. Managed to save £11k deposit for a £60k small property. Then I met my other half, we moved in together. We currently live on a 3bed semidetached property in a small village. And then we're planning to buy a small property and another one in EU for extra income and bakasyunan.
      Hindi po ako pinanganak na mayaman. I worked very hard to reach that goal... OT ng OT. I walk to work. Cook my own food. I buy and sell things. I did agency pero ang hirap lalo na at wala akong car nung una... Diskarte talaga. Lahat ng excess kita ko goes to savings. I lived on a budget. Hardwork talaga but the payoff is sweet.
      Sa mga Pinoys na nagwowonder kung kaya... Kayang kaya!

    Great Content. I tried both buying a property and renting. Para sa akin naging masaya na ako nung mag rent nalang kasi wala pa akong problema at sakit ng ulo. I'd invest my money in ETF or stocks na kumikita ng income at goal kung ma achieve kahit £1000 per month para 45 or 50 pwde na akong mg retire kung gusto ko..Yung pagbili ng bahay maganda din parang sense of ownership pero nasa tao parin yan at sa situation sa buhay.     Buying a house is stressful and if you can't pay your mortgage, your house can be repossessed leaving you homeless.

    WOW WOW WOW 'TO BUY HOUSE OR MAYBE HOUSES IN THE FUTURE. 'LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION ESPECIALLY YOU FIRST HOUSE FOR YOU/YOUR FAMILY AND SIBLING(S) YOUR NEIGHBOURS WILL THE FRIENDS OF YOUR SIBLINGS, AND BE SURE TO FIND A HOUSE WHERE IN WILL HAVE A 'PARKING SPACE' maybe, large back space for remodelling, etc, etc, etc, 'the most satisfying life l have when l bought my house with mortgage' that was another story, don't hesitate to buy house. l have some friends who own 5/7/8 house in London today. l am sure you hear their names who are they? Manolo

    so manong, u mean say u get a house and pay the mortgage for 5yrs then u decide to leave the UK, can u then opt to stop paying the mortgage? what will happen then?

      @@manonggeorge manong, parang napansin q, as time goes buy, the more na nag iiba ang owner ng isang house, the price depreciates as years go by. is that right? and why is that? i mean in the philippines, if u buy a condo unit, its value appreciates in the succeeding years. salamat po

      It depends on the market, location at ung bahay itself. As someone na kakabili at benta lang ng bahay. I can assure you tumaas ang mga bahay 😄

    Maganda naman talgang magka bahay kaya lang you are force to work until your 60's. Wala nmn masamang mag trabaho sa ganun age kaya lang ang tanong kaya mo pa ba? for me e.invest ko nalang yung money ko at mg rent parin ako maganda parin yung flexibility and I can retire maybe in my 50's. Thanks for your video.
