    Great vid. Love seeing the trailer in it's natural habitat. And the misty morning mouse footage looks fantastic.

  • @imasmallfringeminority1988

    Great footage ..but if your gonna moose hunt I wouldn't really be yelling at the bull moose when there could be a cow right behind it...kinda defeats the purpose of moose hunting if your scared..mabey place yourself in a little clump of trees rather than in the wide open next time...if hes in a bad mood you'll definitely know..cow moose are just as if not more dangerous than a bull especially if there is a calf nearby...awesome video tho love northern Ontario...best of luck next year

    We always have a sling shot with us for grouse. Beautiful hunting ground with lots of action.

    Nice moose footage I've been archery hunting with my group for 8 years now and they have been atchery hunting together for at least 20 years. I use a Montana cow moose decoy and have managed to get close to cows with the wind in my favor and by holding it in front of me as I am walking up to them and a few grunts. We always apply for a bull tag. A cover scent like horse mare in heat urine helps. You can buy it at some sporting goods stores and maybe on Amazon. Get a small spray bottle ftom Dollarama and put some urine in it and spray a little on your deoy and soles of your boots. We'we harvested bulls 3 years in a row now. Good luck.

      Check out moose hunting with Montana moose decoy vids on CZcams. Also get yourself a moose or beef scapula (shoudler blade) and clean off then boil meat off clean of remaining meat etc. and let dry for a while. Leave the strip of cartilage on along the wide end of the scapula. It gives a more realistic antler scraping sound. After it is dry varnish it and voila you have yourself a raker for scraping and smashing bushesand trees.

      Sorry to hear about that... An injury can definitely derail a whole season. Take care of it and the healing process seriously! I broke my ankle in three places about 4 years ago and I'm still paying the price for rushing back into action... Thanks for watching!

      As you see in the video, I'm not really "yelling" at them. I'm calm, telling them to move along. Next time I'll just stay put and quiet! Thanks for watching.

    So let me get this right ! , you went moose hunting with archery gear and NO BULL TAG. The whole point of archery hunting is to hunt in the rut for BULLS. Cows will not be so easily fooled.

    • @JoelTremblayCA
      @JoelTremblayCA  Před 2 lety

      We've had plenty of family and friends successfully harvest cows during archery hunt. Some people go 10 years without a bull tag in this area, so when I was lucky and got a cow tag, on my first try, I figured why not. My mindset wasn't just the pursuit of the animal. I wanted to learn, see the landscape, and enjoy a week in the bush with some family. and friends. The experience I gained and memories I share from this trip trump everything. Thanks for watching!

    why are you talking you afraid? moose have great hearing..the cows might hear you....

    • @JoelTremblayCA
      @JoelTremblayCA  Před rokem

      Not afraid just telling the bull to keep a distance. Within 30 yards is close enough for me. My uncle's friend almost died from a moose attack last year, bull during rut are very dangerous.

      @@JoelTremblayCA cows are the real.danger..if you.gotta get 40 yards you.could be too close to her calf and get attacked ..had this happen to me but never a prob with bulls Coming right in.
      Tease em with horns and then approach and show their stuff..put em.down and the spell I broken..fuck with or shoot her calf and she will.chase you.wven the next day...been there..

      @@JoelTremblayCA I don't think bulls.pose much of a danger if 30.y is too close..buy a bull tag..leave the cows alone is my advice..nice vids..

      Walk so he gets your scent and the spell is broken with a bull..is that why you got a Cow tag? It's not safer..
      The bull on the road was coming you should have stayed quiet when he turned into woods..was he circling tou to the down wind side?
