In this video, professional horse trainer, Larry Trocha explains horse conformation which is important for good performance horses. Especially reining horses and cutting horses. In detail, Larry explains conformation which is desirable plus conformation to avoid. He also explains how to fix reining horses which have a problem doing a “straight" sliding stop (must-know info). It's important you watch the entire video. There's information here which you probably have never heard before. Especially the part about fixing a reining horse which isn't sliding straight. At the end of the video, I'll have another video pop up which will expand on this video. If you like the videos, please "Like & Subscribe".

    Great video, super helpful. Only thing that would have helped me more is some drawing of lines in a specific area being described so I know 100% what you mean. Thanks for sharing your expertise, Larry. You've always been generous in this way.

    Excellent video. People sometimes get all caught up in the color of a horse, and pass right by their confirmation.

    Amazing video! Larry in my eyes he's PERFECT 🥰 💞 I'll take him! I'm sure a lot of viewers would agree 👍 BTW is he For sale?

    • @ltrocha
      @ltrocha  Před 2 lety +2

      I'm glad you like him. He sold to a man who lives in Kansas. He's won a bunch of ranch sorting events on the horse. He's been offered a ton of money for the horse but refuses to sell him. A difficult horse to replace.

    Thanks for the video. Do you have any videos on picking out a filly or colt? I am wanting a 6 month old to raise for myself. Want just a really nice work horse.

      Hi Reena, No I don't. It's so difficult to determine what that baby is going to look like when it grows up. I've seen dog ugly babies turn into beauties... and I've seen gorgeous weanlings grow up to look horrible. Maybe somebody else can advise you but I sure can't.

      @@ltrocha thanks for your honesty. My brother actually had one of those ugly colts turn into a beauty.
